Miguel A. Cotto really IS the boxing's whipping boy!

After reading this article and looking at some facts, I realize that Cotto indeed is "boxing's whipping boy", as he's called in this article. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2...s-whipping-boy

Not only is he not universally recognized (I mean by experts and pundits, not some governing body) as the worthy challenger and opponent of Pacquiao, but he is also ranked below Shane Mosley, a man he beat, in the ring magazine. Not just that, but sites such as boxrec don't even rank him among the top 20 p4ps!

Mosley, in the meanwhile, is ranked nr.2 by boxrec as well as being 4 spots above Cotto at Ring Mag list. And why? For having tougher chin and not getting all cut up by Margarito's plastered gloves?? Aside from Margarito, Mosley hasn't beaten anyone noteworthy in years. On his record names like Berto, Clottey and even Judah are missing. He has lost 5 times, Miguel Cotto only once. Yes I know that Mosley has been active much longer and has more wins on his record than Cotto. But that shouldn't be of relevance when it comes to the current rankings.

Btw, I just realized that even Nonito Donaire is ranked higher than Miguel! Ring magazine has surely got some strange standards nowadays.

FINALLY...Someone has pointed this out ! I see COTTO having NO CHANCE at getting the decision if fight went 12rds. Everyone is up Pacquiao's butt soooooooo far, that cotto's only chance to win is a KO or TKO. Even then Pacquiao, mosley, even BERTO WILL STILL be ranked higher than cotto.

All this is bad news for pacquiao and pacquiao needs to blame all anti-cotto people for getting the worse beating of his life. I know all this anti-cotto bashing is going to get to cotto and it'll show on 11/14.

Cotto doesn't get the respect he deserves at all.

I'D say that's because he genuinely does not give a ****.he's done it his way, sinatra style.though, i would have liked for him to tell arum to go **** himself when he offered Jennings.

Because people who have no interest in boxing as a sport just being a fan of an undefeated loud mouth make it seem like having a loss is a career ending fiasco. It isn't just fans of Floyd either, it's also the nationalists. You have your Margarito fans defending him to the death intentionally blinding themselves to what should be obvious. You have your Pacquiao fans using his questionable loss to Margarito as ammunition. You have those who call him a quitter and when it all comes down to it, its comedy. I can't take fans like that serious. There are maybe 20 people on here who seem like they know boxing and have been following it for a long time. Outside of that you have a bunch of cults and fan clubs on here acting like **** jockeys for there favorite man. Posting every little quote and article there praises there idol and belittles the next man.

Golden Boy owns The Ring, hence the ring loves Shane Mosley.

Cotto is with Bob Arum, so the Ring will ignore him
