I've come to the realization you are more interested in talking **** and insulting these pros than actually having a discussion, so Im done talking to your ***** ass. Have fun you pathetic little ****. Ive met Ross personally and Ive 100% positive that your **** talkin little ass wouldnt remember getting in the ring with "soft" punching Ross.Blah blah blah.....the same line of BS they tried to sell Peter McNeely with. Ross Purrity is a joke and Wlad's an even bigger joke for losing to him.
BTW, weight does NOT make a fighter a hard puncher.....I've seen WAY to many big guys who couldn't punch for ****e (Mike White, Primo Carnera anyone?) and too many small guys who could. I've used this example many times: Mike Tyson usually weighed in as the smaller man for his championship fights but only a damn fool would argue that he wasn't a harder puncher than practically all of them.

...Ive always fitted in accuracy and speed into the 'KO power' catagory, seeing as accuracy and speed are big parts of a successful KO shot.
how you think Williamson has about as much raw power as Holyfield is beyond me.
I sound a little sarcastic, so sorry for that, but Ive always found that KO punches come more from speed and accuracy than strength and size.
and you know, Zuri Lawrence with his zero KOs would still punch hard if he fought pretty much anyone off of this website. were talking about the top level here. so you cant just say that Purrity would knock me out, so hes a big puncher. because any semi-decent boxer would knock 99%+ of the peopel on this site out.Last edited by Steak; 08-11-2009, 10:19 PM.Comment

I may be having memory lapses, but I just dont remember that many 1 punch KOs at HW from Holyfield although I remember him landing loads of clean punches....Ive always fitted in accuracy and speed into the 'KO power' catagory, seeing as accuracy and speed are big parts of a successful KO shot.

Klitschko didnt look a whole lot better than an average Joe when Ross was getting to him....Ive always fitted in accuracy and speed into the 'KO power' catagory, seeing as accuracy and speed are big parts of a successful KO shot.

thats because Holyfield has fought almost exclusively top level fighters. I mean, look at who he fought since he won the HW crown. and you cant expect too many devastating KOs when hes 40+ either. now, his earlier career during his Cruiserweight reign he had a ton of nasty one punch KOs.
being able to drop prime Mercer and Bowe is no easy task, not something I think Brewster or Williamson could do even if they got the chance, and his KO over Douglas was a pretty nasty shot.
yea, the KO was from exhaustion, not Purrity's punching power. I thought that was pretty clear.Klitschko didnt look a whole lot better than an average Joe when Ross was getting to him.
and to Purrity's credit, there are very few that could stop him. that shows hes not only tough, but crafty as well.Last edited by Steak; 08-11-2009, 10:28 PM.Comment
