      Prime Evander puts Wlad on the mat a couple times and wins a decision. Wlad has never seen anything like the warrior prime Evander was.

          [QUOTE=Infern0;5875131]what do you think boyyyys!

          Versus

          I voted Evander... but here's a theory.. What about the evolution of athletes? Sugar was the best middleweight of his era but would he beat Kelly Pavlik? I mean don't boxers or any athlete for that matter learn from the last generation. Aren't Lebron and Kobe technically better than Magic and Bird even if (questionable) Magic and Bird were better in their era?

            Holyfield would probably get pepped on the outside, save for the occasion counter right hand/left hook, which Holyfield was good with.

            the thing about Wlad is that he has no inside fighting ability, and he doesnt really counter much either. Holyfield could fight in almost any situation, although sometimes he fought the wrong kind of fight.
            not to mention it was pretty darn hard to 'break' him, and thats what Wlad does to most guys nowadays.

            Wlad was better on the outside than Bowe, but Bowe had some of the best infighting youll see in a big heavyweight, and that made a very big difference in the Holyfield-Bowe fights, imo.

            good fight, I can see the situations and momentum of the fight changing a lot in it.

              Short answer: NO. Kobe and Labron would get schooled by Bird and Magic.

                not to mention that Holyfield...even at 45 or whatever he was....still should be in the top 5 in today's division, since he was robbed of a win over Valuev.
                thats mind boggling. people thought Holyfield was shot before he even fought Tyson.

                  Wlad right now would win a decision over any version of Holyfield IMO. A younger Wlad versus a prime Holy would've been a much more interesting and closer fight because Wlad would've tried to brawl with Holy.

                  Wlads chin is being ridiculously underrated here... Lewis was knocked out cold twice and Holy never put him on the canvas in 24 rounds and rarely did Evander KO guys with 1 punch. Wlad wouldn't have a problem with Holy's power.

                    Lewis's chin was a lot better than Klitschko's.

                    And besides chins would not play as big role as styles.

                      The thing people don't seem to realize is that things don't always move forward. If the history of mankind teaches us anything is that things go BACKWARDS just as often. I think people have been misled by the technological advances of the last 200 years and have extrapolated that progression to encompass all of existence.....it doesn't. In fact, the technological advances of the past couple of centuries is something of an anomoly: In the past technology has regressed just as frequently as every other aspect of life. Has anybody ever heard of the Dark Ages? And that wasn't even the first such period.
