Pavlik throws almost a smany punches, harder punches and straighter punches!!

They are about the same skills wise, with obviously Williams been a better combination puncher!!!!!!!

What was so outrageous about that statement? Pavlik is good at what he does, don't get me wrong. But Williams has better upper body movement, more punch variety, along with more angles they are thrown from. Pavlik is good at the fundamentals. He has a good jab and he has a strong right hand. But other than that, there isn't that much to his game.

Haha, another black vs white scenario. Gonna be awesome. I just think it's gonna be a great fight and I'm glad to see one of my favorite fighters back in action against a tough SOB. This is a very respectable fight for Pavlik because Williams is a beast with his punch output. But if Pavlik goes into another Miranda war with Williams, I think his power might prevail but don't get me wrong, Williams packs a lot of pop for a tall skinny man...

good ****. about time paul williams is forced to fight some one his own size...even though he is still one inch taller than pavlik lol. but i got williams by UD, pavlik got way overrated for wins over taylor, the first one he was loosing until the ko, the second one some say he lost. hes one dimensional and got broken down by a 43 year old. but i will say this, pavlik can crack, and if he catches williams, you can be damn sure its gonna crack.

Cotto fans need to take note about what Paul Williams is doing. He could've let Pavlik outgrow the division like Cotto did with him and squat on vacant title belts.

What a great fall for boxing we'll have this year.

Hear hear! After all the recent letdowns due to injuries and the like its nice to know there are at least three major fights in the horizon. Personally, I have PWill in a fairly lopsided UD for now, too much activity and too much athleticisim for Pavlick IMO.

Williams has never been close to get a fight with Cotto nor was a nescesary fight, nor was demand for it. Simple as that!!!!!

Great fight. Williams is going into the fight with the momentum and confidence, but it ain't going to be Hopkins re-visited all over again for Kelly, simply because Williams defence is nowhere near as good as B-Hops, he's open alot, even for someone like Pavlik. And while Williams chin is tremendous, being hit by a bona fide big hitter at 160 is gonna test him. Saying that, I go into this fight as a Pavlik fan with some trepidation.

But more excitement.

I don't think the Hopkins fight serves as very good point of comparison. PWill does not have Hopkins' defense but I think he will be able to frustrate Pavlik equally with his punch rate and precision. The question I have is whether Pavlik can connect with his power punches and whether PWill will be able to take them if he does.
