Pavlik vs Williams Agreement Reached: War on Oct 3

I really wish Pavlik would have taken a tuneup fight before facing Williams. I think he really needs his confidence back to have a chance against a slickster like PW.

Oh boy... a person who see's his favorite fighter apparently without a single flaw. Ok, lets say Williams has good footwork, he doesn't, but even if he did he does not move at all when he's throwing. For a guy who throws 100+ punches a round he gets hit A TON and with some very strong shots, and he always seems to get hit standing directly in front of the guy. Have YOU ever seen any of his fights? I mean seriously man, every guy he's fought has hit him with some solid shots, and every single one is the same thing, a big left/right with Williams standing right there waiting for it. Fortunately for Williams he's never actually fought anyone who can throw a solid punch except for Marg's and Pavlik is on a whole different level in terms of power.

Williams does move around, however, he is nothing BUT stationary when he throws punches and when you throw as much as he does you are just standing there waiting to get hit and that's all I see in a Pwill fight. He lands and throws a bunch and then gets tagged by his opponent. Pavlik will do the same and you to even say he doesn't have one punch power... I can't believed you questioned my boxing knowledge with statements like these. One punch power doesn't necessarily mean you have to make every KO look like Hatton. Pavlik has hurt his opponents with one punch and then they go down after the barrage he comes at you with, but it starts with that one. There is a reason that Hopkins did NOTHING but circle to his right and avoid Pavliks main weapon and he embarrassed the hell out of him. That is called using footwork, jabbing, constant movement, avoiding punches. None of those, except the jab, comes to mind when I think of Williams.

I'm not saying Williams is a bad fighter, but the guy is far from perfect and certainly has his flaws. He is not going to beat Pavlik the way B-Hop did because he doesn't have that kind of ability, and its not going to be an easy fight for him for the exact reasons I stated. He may "use his feet" but that isn't footwork, watch the B-Hop/Pavlik fight and see what real footwork is, or watch Manny in a fight with constant angles, feints, and in-n-out movement. Williams creates angles and he does set up his shots and I love how he can go from throwing 100 "soft punches" to putting some meat behind those and you can see the power difference in those shots. He's a great fighter, however, he is VERY stationary when he gets going and just gets nailed with bombs and he's FINALLY in there with someone who is going to really show us if Williams chin is any good. If Williams can take Pavlik's shot, Williams will win in a closer version of the Winky fight. I just don't think Williams chin is going to stand up to a type of power he's never felt before.

Williams is just a better fighter than Pavlik, brah. You're going to see it on October 3rd, I promise you. Pavlik is going to get hurt. He ain't no Winky, he's right there with no defense for offense. That chin's going to get touched more than it's been touched before. You'll see it.

Nobody is as busy as Williams. People said the same **** about Margarito, "he has moar power and throws just as many pawnches!1!". We all saw how that turned out. Pun made him look ridiculous with his superior speed and movement. Expect the same thing to happen to Kelly.

Well Kelly is a bigger and better version of margarito. Kelly is alot bigger and stronger then Paul, And there are alot of people that thought Margarito won that fight.

Yea same goes with your boy Paul brah. PW has never fought anybody with the power Kelly has. Not even close. I'm pretty sure if CQ can beat him I'm sure Kelly can. Every fight PW has been in he gets tagged just as much as kelly does so don't think for a second that PW is going to somehow duck and dodge everything thrown at him. That is just not his style. PW likes to stand there and trade which is why im excited for this fight.
