Pun is stopping this kid. The key for him winning is going to be on the inside where Pavlik cannot fight. He is going to bust Pavlik up with close quarter combinations and stop him late in the fight.

Tape measures can't lie, but photos can be misleading. He's been measured plenty of times and his height always comes out the same.

Thanks for the compliment, though, I like reading your posts too.

Glad we agree although he claims he still walks around between fights at just over 150lb, less than many Welters, so I'm not sure he has to drain himself much. He's just a physical freak, IMO. As was Hearns.

fausto is that pwill and merchant at the hall? I wish i was there but i went to the cotto fight that weekend. My dad said pwill was cool. Funny story my dad is into boxing but not big like he use to be. But i rerember when pwill fought winky and he was like o winky going to embarass this kid. Me and my nephew were like nah winky is in for a long night. Long story short bet my dad 50 bucks got that guap and my dad turned into a pwill fan that night. Me personally can't get behind him all that passionate but i will admit he beats any ww cause he is a fregin freak and he will beat pavlick if he stays away from the right hand and keeps it a outside fight.

            Williams vehemently denies that.

I see this fight as 50/50. Pavliks only loss was to Hopkins, and yes, in that fight Pavlik looked almost amateur, however, Hopkins won on footwork which Paul Williams has none. Sure, he throws a triple digit amount of punches per round, however, he just stands in front of you and throws and he's been caught plenty of other times before. In the Winky fight, if some of those shots came from Pavlik I'm not sure how well PWill's chin would have held up. Sure he took Marg's shots, but Pavlik is on a whole different level, especially considering that Pavlik has one punch power, Marg really didn't. That being said, Williams is a machine and whether or not Pavlik can get any worthy shots off in between Willaims barrage is the question, and I think he will as Williams is too stationary. I see Pavlik winning, but wouldn't be surprised in the least if Williams won, Williams is Pavliks hardest fight except for Hopkins and its not going to be an easy win by any means.

I'll bet you 50k points Williams doesn't get stopped.

Well, I am almost sick of being a Pavlik apologist, because I hate it too that he hasn't fought ANYONE since Hopkins. But I will say again, he isn't exactly alone when it comes to losing to Hopkins, and I DON'T believe he was hinmself in that fight. Not being able to spar enough seriously hurt him but I still think Hopkins would have beat his ass just because he is just better than Pavlik like he is just better than 95% of all middleweights all time.
But Williams? I think Williams will work his ass off but I don't believe he can hurt Pavlik. Pavlik CAN hurt Williams and Pavlik is almost as Busy as Williams but his punches are thrown with much more power. I have said before that good and big beats just good every time - and I was entirely wrong considering Pacman and Hatton, but this is different. Kelly has game changing power. Williams doesn't. At some point i feel Pavlik will land a right and the fight will change. It MIGHT even be a body shot. More likely a straight right hand on a walking in Williams.
Pavlik is a likely target for a good left hook but not sure that Williams can hurt him with it. With all that said, If Williams can keep him smothered all night and it does go to a decision he will win. But I just don't see it happening. Pavlik will hurt him, slow him down and knock him out.
