      kinda like mosley!
I am a Mayweather fan. I agree with you in that Mayweather, by himself, is not a big ticket seller. The only two big ticket sellers in boxing today are Ricky Hatton (in Manchester or when is is fighting a major opponent in the U.S.) and Oscar De La Hoya. However, the Oscar/Mayweather fight sold twice as many tickets as Oscar/Pacquaio and the Mayweather/Hatton fight sold twice as many worldwide as Hatton/Pacquaio. So, obviously Mayweather is a good ticket seller if he is in with the right person. And even without a big name opponent, he has sold more PPVs than both Cotto and Pac in their respective careers. The numbers show this.

Mayweather/Marquez will sell as many tickets as Cotto/Clottey and as many PPV's as Cotto/Pacquaio.

Mosley would fight Clottey, Pacquiao would fight Valero and Oscar
would not have fought Floyd or Pac. When each fighter has fought
someone that wasn't as famous then the turnout wasn't that big.
Each fighter Boxing superstar need one another to sell big fights.
        Excellent point!

Hatton can sell tickets in his hometown or against a big name opponent. The Laczano fight was in Hatton's hometown after the Mayweather fight. So Mayweather actually helped him become a bigger name. Prior to the Mayweather fight, Hatton could only average between 16 and 20,000 at the MEN arena (in his hometown). That is still good, but not spectacular. When Hatton fought Jose Luis Castille in America, it only sold 4,000 tickets.

Miguel Cotto has never sold out Madison Square Garden, not even on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day parade.

I disagree. The haters find them boring because Floyd always wins and they are usually one-sided. Watching Hatton hit the turnbuckle as he was being KO'd by Floyd was very exciting to me. Also, the fight against Diego Corrales, Zab Judah, Arturo Gatti and numerous others was exciting.

Well he kinda is a draw but, for the wrong reasons. Alot of people buy his fights just to see him lose.
