i dont understand how people want to bombard him and expect so much out of him. dude trains his ass off and goes through hell during training camp (especially making weight and dieting, which would make most people moody right off the bat)

Tito's victory over vargas alone is better than any win on cotto's resume. You want to compare someone who's never even beaten a champion to someone who has faced, oba carr, camacho, campas, whitaker, david reid, de la hoya, william joppy, fernando vargas, bernard hopkins, mayorga, winky wright, and bernard hopkings?????

Miguel Cotto's opponents have been molded and analyzed to Cotto's style. Arum is a master at matching and looking for "beatable" oponents with credibility for his stable. In no way can Cotto be compared to Trinidad, from personality to greatness. Whitaker would have outboxed Cotto and Trinidad, Campas and DLH would have knocked him out. The problem Trinidada had was that he was brought up in weight too fast by Don King. The quality of opponents Trinidad had outweights that one of Cotto and Gomez. Gomez was fighting stiffs by his 30th fight. Once Tito became a Champ, it was all A+ competition. The only controversial fight he had was with DLH. let's not forget that the Cotto had razor thin decisions to Mosley and Clottey.

I think personalitiy wise Cotto is doesnt not like to mix up with strang crowd like Tito.

but that is him and people want him to smile back or do some fancy dancing stuff to cheer people it not part of him.

I think his father was in military and he also is not the smiling type even his brother.

IMO Tito did what he had to do as a boxer at that level. Even in a losing effort he challenged the A class fighters and took risks. A lot of boxers today are more worried about their records than boxing glory

LOL. Maybe Hopkins took a new level after beating Tito, but Winky? He fought a nobody in Solomin, beat Quartey, fought to a draw against Taylor, and as schooled by P. Will and Hopkins. How is that reaching a new level. Not to mention that he's had only 5 fights since then and that was way back in 2005.

Look at the time that Tito fought Winky. Nobody would fight him and Hopkins was the best MW of our era. You can't compare the Winky of late as he got older and even more avoided. Why not mentioned what Hopkins did to Pavlik since your commenting on Winky. Winky beat Mosley twice at that time and that fight he had with Vargas could had gone either way
