I guess Miguel Cotto is just happy being a fighter and not
commercial superstar which is fine if that's what he is most
happy being. Better to do what makes you happy then do
what everyone expects you to do and be miserable.

    • Cotto is a serious dude, he doesn't like people getting in his face and expecting him to be all happy about it. Like he said he isn't a beuty queen he's a boxer and I appreciate what he does in the ring I don't give a **** if he's friendly or not.

      • i always saw this as a good thing

that he's not all flashy nd **** and stays to himself when in the public eye

i dont see why he's expecting to be everyone's best friend - he's always putting on a great show for us fight fans and that should suffice.

Seriously, just fucking answer it already. That's 3 times now.

          • He's right. Cotto, IMO, is better skilled boxer than Tito and has handled his buisiness out of the ring much better than Titto. It was recently published in a PR news paper that Cotto buisiness is worth over 25 million dollars in PR. Tito did not manage his finaces that well and everytime he was broke came back to get his as whipped.

Cotto might not be as fan friendly but I think his career has been much better than Tito.

I'm giving out some secrets here, but you can dip your hands in ice water and that tape will, like, marinate and become harder. But it's only cheating if you get caught. Personally, I think Vargas' and Reid's people dropped the ball. Naazim did a brilliant job in spotting what [Felix Trinidad Sr.] was doing with the wraps." Don Felix was also putting tape on the skin and over the knuckles, both of which are not in accordance with NYSAC rules. New York's head commissioner put his foot down and made Don Felix wrap in strict accordance to the rules.
Thank you for addressing that...it's like people forget that his hands were wrapped illeaglly before the BHOP fight...i can't recall if they (media/fans) made it a big deal out of it? If they did, I wonder did they question every single victory before Hopkins? Anyone know?

And there is a bunch of other Hofers Tito fought **** is not even close!!!!!!
Trinidad lost 3 of those 4. Clottey would've beaten Trinidad, it would have been the Winky Wright fight all over again. I agree when all is said and done Cotto is going to have the better resume. He still has two years of big fights ahead and by november is going to have two hall of famers on his resume.

i dont understand how people want to bombard him and expect so much out of him. dude trains his ass off and goes through hell during training camp (especially making weight and dieting, which would make most people moody right off the bat)

                    ?

what's so wrong with him just wanting to chill and be to himself in between fights?

The wrapping must not have been that illegal. Hopkins was give the option of wrapping his hands in the same manner by the athletic commission and declined.
