Cotto must have a lot of scar tissue. Look at his recent fights: Clottey nasty cut on eyebrow, Margarito - nasty cuts on eye, lips and nose, Mosley - cut over right eye, Judah - cut over right eye, lips/mouth bleeding badly, Urkal - Cotto cut up pretty bad above his left eye.

The only fights he hasn't been cut in recently were against Jennings and Gomez. Against everyone else he's been cut up (obviously margarito & clottey being the worst).

That means there is a lot of scar tissue all over his face. Both of his eyes have been cut bad and he's had problems bleeding from the mouth/lips and nose as well. Bhop isn't far off here, Cotto WILL be cut up provided the fight lasts more than 3-4 rounds. The question is how bad it will be.

Hatton took a lot of shots from pac b4 being knock out cold.

After the fight, his face looked fine and far from any scars.

Pacquaio keeps the fight in centre ring it wil be bad news for Cotto, if Cotto can force him back towards the ropes and trap him then Pacquiao could be in trouble.


Cotto does look a bit destructive against left handers so far though, Judah, Quintana are both good fighters. Will Pacquiao get backed up to the ropes though ?

OT: Funny, how you have Norris on your avatar and have him ranked higher than TITO, when in fact it was TITO who made him retire. In all my life following boxing, I never seen a case where one boxer makes another retire without fighting him. TITO made Norris retire from pure fear..

(IMO)I don't think it was so much Marquez's body work that hurt Manny -- As I think it was Marquez being able to pepper Manny all night long with the straight right hand. That and he punished Manny everytime he made a mistake and was caught off balance trying to land a flurry. As for Cotto being able to get to Manny's body ...it's going to be tough ... Manny has a lot of body Movement/headmovement, and he's quick on his feet. Now if Cotto can cut the ring off as he is good at doing and trap Manny in the corner then yes, he can hurt Manny to the body. If I was Cotto I probably wouldn't try it in the middle because he'll be more prone to getting caught off guard with Manny's speed.

It's funny when Cotto fans talk about how his body shots are going to be something Pacquiao can't handle. Everytime Pacquiao gets hit, it only makes him stronger. David Diaz was known for body shots, ODLH was known for body shots, and Ricky Hatton was known for body shots.. point? They all got beat badly by Pacquiao. You can't win if you can't land your punches. Of course, Cotto is more athletic than those guys at this time, but he is nowhere close to Pacquiao's handspeed and footspeed. Cotto won't be able to land his body shots because Pacquiao will be be 3, 4 steps ahead of Cotto. Pacquiao's high work-rate is going to overwhelm Cotto because he has never faced anyone with Pacquiao's caliber. If Clottey didn't BS that last round, Clottey should have won the fight. With this fight I see it going around 8 or 9 rounds with Pacquiao getting the KO.

Pac does get agrressive when he is punching and Cotto does punch in the pocket. Plus Cotto's jab when he uses it is dominating and is offbeat which counter effects speed. This a pick-em fight that is gonna be action packed for as long as it lasts.

What does Norris and Tito have to do with anything ?

I have Tito below because my list is in terms of who i found most entertaining to watch and there there is nothing in it from top to bottom TBH, only reason Norris is a little higher is BECAUSE of his shaky chin, that made him even more exciting to watch.
