Cotto must have a lot of scar tissue. Look at his recent fights: Clottey nasty cut on eyebrow, Margarito - nasty cuts on eye, lips and nose, Mosley - cut over right eye, Judah - cut over right eye, lips/mouth bleeding badly.

The only fights he hasn't been cut in recently were against Jennings and Gomez. Against everyone else he's been cut up (obviously margarito & clottey being the worst).

That means there is a lot of scar tissue all over his face. Bhop isn't far off here, Cotto WILL be cut up provided the fight lasts more than 3-4 rounds. The question is how bad it will be.

Yep, remember Diaz' face and his comments about being cut by razors? Obviously cotto is 10000000X better than diaz, and probably wont be as easy to hit, but with all the scar tissue it's going to happen.

I think b-hop is right. The only question I really have with Pacquaio, is can he take Cotto's power? If the answr is yes, then Cotto is done. If the answer is no, and Cotto hurts him early ... Pacquaio is finished. I have no doubts that Pacquaio is the better boxer, but Cotto's size and power can not be ignored, and only time will tell if Pacquaio can with stand some of those titanic blows that Cotto throws. For Pacquaio to win he has to be able to take the shots. For Cotto to win he needs to be able to go a full 12 rounds with out tiring, and he needs to approve his defense ... other wise he'll eat straight left hands up the gut all night. Which could definitly reopen that cut again. Make no mistake this will be a hellva war! Both fighters are going to have there work cut out for them come November 14th.

I agree with hopkins. Cotto Couldn't handle the slower margaritos pressure. Pacquiao is way faster than marg with same workrate. Now that pacquiao know miguel doesn't do good under pressure , that is one of the main things he is going to incorporate.

Wether Cotto will or will not be able to take Pacman's punishment is just speculations and opinions so i respect yours.
Whether will Pacman be able to punish Cotto or vicecersa is also something that is yet to be seen, however Margarito is way stronger than Pacman and that's a fact (not to mentioned the possible "plaster").

But since you are comparing the Margarito's workrate and pressure with what Pacman can probably do, let me ask you this question.
Will Pacman be able to take the punishment that Margarito received from Cotto?? Does Pacman have that type of chin???

It will be in the best interest of Cotto to use that strong, quick and stiff jab to neutralize Pacman's speed and attack. A type of jab that is stonger than any other jab that Pacman has faced. A type of Jab that has knock down bigger and heavier oponenents (Clottey and Gomez) and could be very effective on the some times unbalance attack tha Pacquiao brings.

True probably Pacman has the hability to punish Cotto and viceversa, but it remains to be seen who will punish who.

Marquez hurt Manny to the body so I'm sure Cotto can hurt Manny so the question should be can Cotto get to Manny's body without getting tagged with straight left.
