Why does the americans constantly fail to give the Klitscho's the props they deserve?

I dare to say, had they been slick loud mouthed black fighters they would have been considered top 5 ATG heavyweights. The americans always underrate the Klitscho's. Lewis was a boring guy who used his jab and long reach yet he is considered top 10 ATG HW. Had it not been for that bull**** cut Vitali would have exposed him.

Vitali was winning the Lewis fight, a fight he took on very short notice. It's debatable that cut came from a legit Lewis shot, at least not 100% clear.

Anyway, if the K's were white American's they'd be bigger than Jesus - just remember how excited American's got over Tommy Morrison and Gerry Cooney, both those guys were not near the K brothers in class - but the K's are seen as Ivan Drago/Commy's. That's why they don't get respect.

Both of those fighters were before the net though and were considered nothing more than "white hopes" in the media. Joe Mesi had as many haters online as either KlitschkO. There's just a lot of people who think black people are superior fighters and that the Klit brothers are only champions because the great African-Americans fighters are playing football and basketball instead.

FTR: The cut on Vitali's eye against Lewis was a judgment call and could just as easily been ruled an accidental clash of heads and Vitali would have gotten the UD and also his deserved rematch, probably.

Ali was the real deal, more than just a loud mouthed fighter.

The americans always underrate the Klitscho's.

They are getting the same crap Larry Holmes got because they both (all) came after a great champion. For Holmes it was Ali. For the Klitscho's its 3 great fighters, Tyson, Holyfield, and Lewis. It has nothing to do with being Americans, its a human thing. But I do understand how it looks on these forums. Believe me, you guys look very biased to us as well at times.

You just described the Klitscho's as well. And Lewis avenged his two losses on his own, he didn't have a brother to do it for him.

Look how Vitaly reacted to that punch he took from Lewis at the end of that last round. He was holding on for dear life. Lewis was on his way to K.O.ing Vitaly, and I always suspected that's why the fight was stopped on a cut. They were giving him a chance because it was a title fight and Vitaly was doing good. As soon as it really started going bad for him, there was no need to allow him to continue.
