My only question with Williams is his chin. So far, he's proven it to be very good, but I haven't seen him in there with a big puncher yet. The Pavlik fight should answer those questions. If Williams does indeed have a great chin, that dude probably aint gonna lose again. He's gotten a lot better since the first Quintana fight.
Even against Pavlik, no WW today hits like Pavlik, Pavlik is a heavy handed SOB.

Have you ever seen Pavlik look as bad as he did against Hopkins? You willing to say Pavlik had an off night? I'm not. Simply put, it could have been Quintana who made Williams look that bad. It could have been Quintana who made Williams look ordinary that night.

Williams fought hard right till the 12th round the first fight. he was in shape. If he would not have been in shape, he would have gotten knocked out.

i could agree...but it's just too many things that went wrong in the quintana/williams first fight to say anything but him having a bad night...his shot's were weak...he lived up to that pitty pat guy they tried to label him as...i didn't see quintana dominating...i saw williams barely holding on...his footwork was sloppy...his punches had no meaning...there was no way that he was the guy who had fought margo just 5 months earlier...

maybe i could say the exact same thing for pavlik/hopkins...but a lot of what i saw from pavlik was the same stuff he did with JT...taylor is just not as great at capitalizing as hopkins...he didn't keep his hands up...he was a stone being pushed with a broom stick from his corner...hopkins played the inside and the outside...plus he always makes fighters give up their comfort zone and forces them to beat him with awkward shots and counter punches...neither pavlik's one dimensional style can accommodate...

Paul Williams has always been a well-conditioned fighter, so that is a moot point. It probably helps with his punch resistance.

cotto will be backpeddling the whole fight, same as the margo fight, same as the clottey fight.

not even margo tired out williams and margo is a good body puncher, volume punching, and heavy handed.

cotto aint doing **** to pwill.

williams won't take blows like margo did. pwill has better handspeed than margo and better defense. cotto will land a few good punches, but like I said, cotto is not a one punch KO guy.
Did you not watch that fight? Williams was getting pounded on the 2nd half of the fight. He started holding on for dear life.

Quintana, just moved, feint and shoot all night, an WIlliams couldnt handle it. matters of fact, he got his rythim thrown off, because he needs a stationary target to unleash his 100+ punches.

This is why i think, he will have a tougher time fighting guys like martinez and Santos, than with guys like Clottey, Cintron or Margarito again.

I cam to realiza that if he can Take Pavliks right hand he beast him too. But I dont think he will stan to that power.
Yeah he took Quintanas power shots all night, so he should just walk through Pavliks shots. Also walked through Winkys bombs the guy has such a great chin.

You know the real reason Williams lost is because he had that ****** ass mohawk...

I'll put up some points lets do 35K? Plus come on man the P-train is seriously overhyped. Quinatana showed how to beat Paul through smart movement and counter punching and straight shots and you think no other welterweight, jr middle or middle can do that? Remember back when Paul was making statements like He'd love to fight Hopkins? I really wish Hopkins would have said OK, easy stay busy fight for me. Hopkins is exactly the kind of guy who would have beat Williams Ass for 10 rounds and then Ko'd him brutally. But too be real honest Im glad he didnt cause Paul does bring a certain level of excitement that the sport needs. se€rgio MArtinez is another guy Williams should stay away from. He is a faster stronger version of Quintana. I will say I think Paul's confidence has grown which makes him look as if he has improved but he is the same fighter really.

Let me know bout them points you want to give away....
