You need to watch more boxing, not because I think Cotto is past his prime, because I'm not too sure about that, but Morales and Vargas etc. were in there late 20s when they were clearly past it.

Age doesn't matter, you could see it in their movement and physique.

And second Accomplishments dont have anything to do, with either guys skills!!!!!!
      mayweather was #1.

he retired in 2008 and a few months later cotto got ktfo by marg.

      you want to count that?

      lmao

castillo beat the #1 135 guy in the world in stevie johnston.

he lost his spot when he lost to floyd but he took it back again when floyd moved up.

      that's just resume.

skillswise castillo is superior as well.

But in the Mosley fight Shnae first tried to stand toe to toe, then boxed and then in the latter parts Cotto boxed. It was a very dinamic parts.Shane tried 3 gameplans in that fight.
I do agree in the Clottey fight I thought Cotto might be in trouble but Clottey never put the pressure on him...and Shane's main way of fighting is toe-to-toe...

they're similar. we're not discussing fitness here with cotto gassing and castillo not gassing. and i don't think castillo's hands where faster at all.

Well Morales was in wars...Vargas' fat ass couldn't stop eating and wasn't training properly...

Age isn't everything but I'm not gonna say a man is automatically out of his prime from ONE loss...

The Shane that actually has a trainer and doesn't train himself anymore murks Cotto in my opinion as well.

Exactly,Clottey didn't put enough pressure and he still seemed ready to take a knee,Cotto did.

But if you look at the Shane fight,Shane tried 3 different gameplans probably befuddled by Cotto's speed and skills. But the fight was close but I thought Cotto nicked it out.

At 135 IMO his hands were faster than Cotto's at 147...maybe due to Cotto putting more behind his shots...and Cotto doesn't throw as much as Castillo

And you know for sure Cotto is slow on his feet...
