Erik Morales wasn't terribly quick. While it's a factor, I think timing is more important. If Cotto can get his jab going it could do a lot to offset Pacquaio's rushes. I really believe this fight will become a war and when that happens - particularly with a boxer like Cotto - it'll be anyone's fight.

I'll add that Miguel Cotto's last few opponents have been very durable. Mosley, Margarito and Clottey are three of the most rock-bearded dudes in the division, and the sport. Miguel Cotto is definitely being overlooked here.

Manny has very fast hands but his movement isnt uncatchable. he off balance alot and the extra weight wont help that fact. Cotto has the timing to hit him, and i feel manny going to struggle to move from away from cotto counter attacks. Manny can be very open when and after he throws.
