Just watched Manny vs Oscar and Cotto vs Clottey (HD .mkv files) side by side on my PC. Manny makes Cotto and Clottey appear as if they are fighting under water.

Also, Manny's pace is just relentless; makes Cotto-Clottey look like a sparring session.

Cotto came into the Clottey fight with a certain gameplan that would benefit him against Clotteys shell defense.

Try looking at fighters with speed and good boxing skills vs Cotto. He then shows his true ability to counter and neutralize fast hands.

I know its common to look at the last performance but there are vast differences between Clottey and Pacquiao.

I feel Cotto will come in the fight with the same gameplan he had for Quintana and Zab Judah minus the low blows

Pacquiao has never faced a style like Cotto, A counter puncher with major power who comes forward. He did have trouble with Marquez so you never know.

I would also claim that Clotteys speed is underrated. in combination he has sopme real fast hands, yet Cotto frequently managed to slip in and out even with his righ eye blinded by blood.

Neither one of the three you mentioned had any problems landing shots vs Pacquiao, those fights were a few weight classes below were Pac had a huge strenght advantage, he was just too strong for those guys and could basically walk thru their shots. He was able to take shots from those guys, will he be able to take flush shots from Cotto at WW? We'll see.........

btw, we'll see how he's gonna roll with those body shots.

That's why Manny was perceived as just a slugger during those times by some, but still manny made them miss alot if manny chose to, you just have to look at the stats. I also like cotto but i still see those big three featherweights to be better than cotto timing wise. Statisticaly Pacquiao made those big three featherweights miss their shot more than they wanted to, and when manny moved up he made his opponents miss their target even greater. What i'm simply saying Manny has a reflex of a featherweight fighting in the welterweight division, while Miguel has a reflex of a WW or even MW sometimes...

you should just drop the Hater this and Hater that and really analyze the fight.

Cotto will be coming in the fight anywhere between 160-170lbs and fighting a 148-150lber. Cotto even after being hydrated 10-15lbs can time his opponents well no matter how fast they are.

people underrate his judah performance due to the low blows. but the bottomline was that even though judah had speed cotto could take his punch and time him like a true elite. Mosley was a unanimous decision and Mosleys speed was completely nullified.

The fact that you quote very tough fight is vkind of funny since there hasnt been a person whos legitimately beat Cotto.

However pacquiao has been beaten and dominated by superior counterpunchers

Seems like your grammar is bad too. You cannot use same word in a sentence. It's called reduntant or in other words superfluous that is characterized by or containing an excess used of the same word in a sentence.

Actually, it doesn't matter to me 'cause this is a boxing forum and we're not in a classroom.
