I'm still mad at him.......but I see why he made the moves he made.......from a fan's perspective he's bitched outta 2 fights with the Klits......but from a bizz perspective he's made a smart move......simple!!

I am, he talked such a big fight but when it came time to actually step into the ring and fight, he disappointed twice. As far as I am concerned of Haye's campaign at heavyweight so far, it's all hype.

i think its too early to tell, the klits still seem to be the main goal for haye.

imo this fight isn't a tune up but after being out of the rng for so long its no surprise to see haye take on the guys who aren't the best in the division. i know that the majority of HW's wouldn't take on vlad for free and i know that vitali wanted to many options on haye.

i can give a pass for the klit fights not being made, but id rather haye take on a couple of good HW's like kevin johnson, povetkin, toney thompson and then look for the major fights with the klits.

Thats hardly claiming he was the best was it???? Saying you would KO someone and saying you're the best is two different things..

Everywhere you look in the sport you see the best fighting the best. Yet, Haye decided to get in the ring with an unknown (and ****ty) boxer named Valuev. It's just really irritating to see this happen because the sport is trying to get away from these "tuneups" or pointless fights. Besides, you wont get any recognition on the big stage when you beat this circus act. Great fighters take great risks David.
the klit****s are the 1s ****in up. offering rediculous contracts, then clause after clause after clause. the klit****s clearly dont want to risk their reputation, because david haye will smash the pair of them. wlad could have had it, but chose not to wait. so who's fault is that!

I don't usually come to Floyd's defense, but to compare him to Haye is an insult. There is no comparison of their career resumes. Plus Floyd doesn't actually agree to fights then back out of them after talking all kinds of ****.

He's chickened out of the fight with Wlad, obviously. After all that big talk, who wouldn't get disappointed. And then he also ducked Vitali. Not that I thought he would win.

Your right at least Mayweather is a talented fighter and has beat good fighters that people actually know instead of beating a bunch of no names in the worst division in boxing, then jumping up to a higher division to continue to fight ****ty fighters.

Disappointed but not surprised. He turned out to be just like all the other UK fighters in the 5-6 years, Hatton, Calzaghe, etc. Basically hide in the UK, don't fight anyone good until they're either over the hill or you're ready to cash out, call it a career with just a few losses or less and act like you matter in boxing history. Hatton and Calzaghe ended their careers accomplishing very little, and Haye will end his accomplishing even less.

One thing that Haye fans are conveniently ignoring is the fact that fighting Valuev and beating him put hims farther away from fighting the Klitschkos.

Haye didn't want to sign a contract to fight Wlad because of the options that K2 would have on him in the future. Instead he signs a fight, where if he wins, Don King will have options on his future fights.

Haye knows Don King won't let him fight the Klitschkos without options on the K brothers and they won't give them to him.

So therefore Haye fighting Valuev is the biggest ***** out of all time because he will NOT be able to fight the Klits as long as King has rights on him.
