Salvador Sanchez is the greatest Mexican fighter Ever (even if he had a short stint) followed by JCC and Finito.

I like Pipino Cuevas but why is he in the IBHOF??

Yeah. He was one of the popular boxers in the Duran-Hearns era but his record is not really that impressive.

Probably because he was a warrior that always made fights entertaining even if he didnt win all of them.

Chavez is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time. Not so much for his record but because he was dominant against quality opposition in his prime.

No doubt. Chavez is the greatest Mexican fighter of all time, and I'd even go as far to say as a top three Welter of all time.

He had every physical attribute a great fighter could ask for- a considerably thicker skull than the average man, allowing him to weather the toughest of storms, he could fight inside exceptionally, had a nice overhand right/right cross, plus a huge heart, he had all the tools. His only flaw was being susceptible to cuts, that is the only flaw Chavez has.

You gotta give him all the respect, the guy has been fighting professionally for over 25 years. 25 years, for a brawling fighter that welcomes wars is an eternity for a fighter of his style. No other warring brawler reigned like him, and he will be remembered and studied forever...

Chavez wasnt a welter in his prime and also didnt cut in his prime.

His thicker skull (If its even true) wouldnt help him not being kd. as rattling the brain is still rattling the brain. The man's condition was just always on top in prime. 12,000 feet altitude training training for 15 rounds while a lot of people had already started training for 12.

He was very technically sound many people dont give him credit for that. But when you see a fight of his keep an eye on his gloves he changes the position of them probably more than any fighter of that Era blocking uppercuts, jabs, rights etc.

Chavez's prime was at light and junior welter. Top 5 all time in both divisions for sure. Oh, and he was NEVER cut in his prime. He had like a plastic face or something.
