JCC can be Mexico's greatest fighter but not hands down. Boxing records are not the only basis for a fighter's greatness.

Salvador Sanchez staged the greatest fight in the lower weight class history. Wilfredo Gomez is the greatest fighter to ever come out of PR but demolishes him... Sanchez was the underdog. He also defeated several other Hall of Famers most specially Azumah Nelson. His ring prowess and smarts is of an utmost high level...and people could just wonder who would win between Sal and JCC in a dream fight.

Finito is great but the problem is very few people care about the minimumweight class...he also wasn't fortunate to unite all the belts...although he would have easily done it, if he was given the oppurtunity.

Hey SUPREMO . . . no problem if you disagree with me . . . we all have our own opinions and we can't agree on everything . . . I was saying hands down because I was considering "longetivity" and "consistency". As previously mentioned the guy has over 100 fights in his credits, never ducking anyone who dares to cross his path. Again for me in my point of view a fighter can only show his greatness by accomplishment and for how long he can maintain his stature plus the ability to come back after a defeat. . . . alright Salvador Sanchez fought Azuman Nelson and Wilfredo Gomez and other equally great fighters but just so with JCC. He fought the best his era could offer . . . and as I said it's unfortunate that Sanchez was unable to prove how great he is because his demise came when he is still on the peak of his career. His reign on top was very short lived.

I'm like, minus two million, six hundred thousand and some odd reputation points. Wow man! Those are some deadly ass punches you've got goin' in your signature. Rock On!!!

Finito Lopez was overlooked despite his skillz. JCC of course is the standard by which all Mexican fighters are compared to. Carlos Zarate was also sick. One of the most impressive Kayo records ever

Johhny Tapia was the greatest. Don't respond to this comment because I am not going to argue it, he just was.

I dont know who was the best Mexican fighter but Chavez first like 30 wins came fighting at the local Tijuana boxing club, and he actually had a loss there but its undocumented.

I like Chavez though I wish he would beaten De La Hoya to the ground when they fought if he did not get cut early he might have had a chance to break him down in the later rounds.
