It's not like Emanuel is going to change Cotto style he's just going to help Cotto fine tune his skills and come up with a solid gameplan to beat Pac.

I hope Cotto seriously considers Steward, I still think he could beat Pac without him but Steward will help make it easier.
I don't think Steward is going to change anything. And I didn't like how he handled Taylor. It seems at times he was more concerned with how the fight looked more than if his fighter was winning the fight.

He didn't change anything with Taylor at all. Cotto is smart enough to make his own adjustments during the fight.

The only thing Steward will teach Cotto is to jab more.

Thats the only negative thing i can think of if Cotto hires him...I think Manny should be hired to help train and come up with a game plan.Nothing more..train Cotto to execute the best possible game plan that utilizes cotto's strengths..

for everyone who watched cotto - clottey, remember how emanual stuart ragged cotto out all night. i dont think cotto needs a big name trainer telling him wha to do at this stage of his career(smells like hatton mayweather snr). stick with santiago, give him a chance. and i give cotto a big chance in this fight.

Emanuel Stewart does not believe that Cotto would knock Pacman??? Cotto is not just an accomplished WW fighter but contemporarily one of the bests if not the best!!! This Stewart guy is a clown by not believing Cotto's power, or he hates so much Pacman out nothing! Either way, he is a clown!!!

Steward might be a lil old but he can still train.

Of course, he must convince Cotto of winning against Pac so Cotto would not hesitate hiring him against PBF!!! He would say after beating Pac, I could help Cotto beating PBF! hahaha!!! didn't you see this anticipation before posting your answer, huh?

But sorry, with or wothout Steward, Cotto would be KOed by Pac on 14 November! Actually, Steward would just create mess on Cotto's camp because of trainer's leadership competition, just like what Mayweather Sr's claimed over the loss of Hatton against Pac, pointing the blame on his assistant trainer.

I don't know what Cotto is waiting for, he should have brought Steward in when he first mentioned he is interested in training him.
