yeah thats what i was getting at lol Cotto had been hammered before mayweather hasn't so surly if Marquez wins he should go top forcing a 3rd fight with pac to see who is the real king

That and marquez jumped 2 divisions, so imo a win over the undefeated former p4p king 2 divisions higher than hes ever fought would put him first rather than if pac beats a man whos already lost never been p4p#1 and at a catchweight lower than hes fought before

    Go Marquez !!!!!!

Not until he beats Pac... I don't see Marquez winning against Floyd no way.

I think it should .. but then thats a very big if.
well my opinion is that pacquiao actually lost to marquez in their rematch and so it should have been marquez as number 1 to me. but then pac sparked hatton so that imo moved him to number 1. if marquez beats mayweather then you cant deny him as the p4p number 1 IMO. if pac also defeats cotto, then who knows! maybe we could have a joint p4p number 1 as marquez and pac until they fight each other again. that would be good!

Manny beat Marquez, no matter what anyone's opinion both fights should have been decision victories for Manny since the judge that had the fight a draw in the first fight scored the first round wrong. Beating Hatton who was the undisputed 140 pound champion is more impressive than beating an older Joel Casamayor and Juan Diaz. I don't know why losing to Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao makes people think Hatton is a bum.

Bottom line, Pac holds the edge over Marquez for now and if both win their fights coming up Pac will still hold that edge. Until what seems to be an inevitable third fight it will probably stay that way.

lol Marquez and Paq all boils down to Performance vs Substance

Paq has demolished all the guys with names who can no longer fight, or who could never fight to begin with, and Marquez has takin out all the belt holders and the best of his chosen divisions. I mean he hasn't even clearly lost to this supposed "P4P best fighter" in Paq.

If Marquez isn't number 1 p4p right now, he's sharing that number 1 spot with Manny. Manny is a bum slayer, and Marquez is a work horse taking out young guns and older vets alike. But if Paq beat's Cotto, lol that would be huge. I personally don't think Miguel should slip focus in the slightest and lose this fight. If there was one important fight in his career, it's this one. He should muscle this one out as long as it lasts. There's been a lot of discouraged and phoney representitives in this sport in these past months, but that's not Cotto. He should take his fight and pass the phoney Paq challenge with flying colors, and if Marquez takes his fight vs Fraud Mayweather, that would obviously just solidify Marquez' willingness to step his game up against the best, and officially claim boxings highest flattery's.
