If Marquez beats mayweather will he become the new p4p #1?

Given Marquez is viewed by many as p4p#2 currently and Pacquaio obviously #1, IF Marquez beats Mayweather and Pacquaio beats Cotto(Mayweather who some would say is the best active boxer alive lol) would that push Marquez infront of Pacquaio to the #1 spot seen as how Floyd is seen as better and the former p4p king. I think it should .. but then thats a very big if.

fair points to be honest, i havent watched many Marquez fights im not a huge fan really but i think if Pac and Marquez win tho they need to settle the score finaly as many seem to think he won the second fight, personally i think pac pipped him but id like to see a 3rd fight tho i do think pac has improved since and think he would win agian

He lost once not twice one was a draw, and so what Margarito whooped Cotto but cottos still higher in the p4p ranks same with Mosley and Cotto Mosleys higher in the p4p standings so that means nothing really. Pacquiao lost to Morales, Singsurat and Torrecampo by your reckoning that would make them better than Pac then yeah?
