I wonder when the Pascal vs Dawson/Johnson fight will happen then. Maybe next spring? Next summer?
Pascal-Diaconu rematch will be in December, and I imagine Pascal-Dawson will be in the spring, perhaps May or early June.

I think Cloud has a better chance on landing Dawson next summer than Pascal does. I would actually prefer Pascal and Cloud fight. That would be a hell of a fight.

Pascals to face Branco in montréal.

        Wednesday august 5 2009-

It's now confirmed, the bell center will be the venue for this light heavyweight WBC title fight which will pit the lavallois Jean Pascals against the italian Sylvio Branco on the 25th of september.

The heads of the Yvon-Michel Group were seriously studying the possibility of presenting the fight at the Pepsi coliseum in Québec, but the choice of the bell center is explained by the constant growing popularity of Pascal in the metropolitan area.

The ex WBA title holder Branco is the mandatory contender to the WBC title.

Remember that Pascal(23-1-0) dethroned the montrealer Adrian Diaconu(25-1-0) of the WBC light heavyweight title on june 19 at the bell center by unanimous decision.

The championship committee of the WBC had authorised Diaconu to hold an optional defense of his belt in a fight with Pascal because the Diaconu-Branco fight which was scheduled to take place during the easter week-end in rome was cancelled by the italian promoter Salvatore Cherchi.

However the WBC had warned the promoters of Pascal and Diaconu, respectively Interbox and GYM that the winner would have to face Branco(59-9-2) before the end of the year.
