Jean Pascal will defend his WBC light heavyweight title against Silvio Branco on Friday, Sep 25 in Montreal, Canada, according to a French language newspaper.

If Pascal wins he must rematch Adrian Diaconu in December.

Pascal very likely will win against the age 42 Branco, who's best fighting days are far behind him.

Branco will actually turn 43 this month.Anyway yeah Pascal should win and will win but it will be more interesting than people think.

Anyway I doubt the Diaconu rematch will happen this year.They should put Diaconu on the same card and fight the rematch in early 2010.

It doesn't. But I understand the rematch clause in the contract stated Pascal must fight him by the end of the year, so it will very likely be in December.

In fact I'm sure it won't be in december.

Diaconu said he'd have a comeback fight in october at the earliest,and since I haven't heard anything it probably will be in november or december.
