    neither......

if Pac loses, its because he is the smaller man

if Cotto loses, its because he was the 2:1 underdog

both will do well after the fight.....

A Cotto lost to a midget will confirm the finality that he's a damaged fighter that will result to the start of a downward spiral of his career.

A Pacquiao lost only entails he's not a real WW and will go right back to the lower division and defend his Jr. WW belt and still get big purse.

      It's a win-win situation for the Pacman

It hurts both of them equally.
If Pacquiao gets knocked out, his allure has vanished and at age 30 in a lower weight division it's difficult to rebuild. His fight with Mayweather is gone, and maybe his entire career as he says he wants to get into politics real soon.
If Cotto gets knocked out, ****, he's already been knocked out once before, people will start to say "well, maybe the Margarito KO was legit" and rule him off as a chinny B class fighter like a Hatton.

there's no shame in losing to someone that outweighs you by 10 lbs. yeah, pac won't be p4p #1 anynore, but it just proves that pac never belonged at 147 lbs.

there is shame in losing to someone that you outweight by 10 lbs tho, so cotto better not lose or else he's gonna look like a fool... there's no reason why an elite fighter at 147 lbs can't beat someone from a lower weight class....

no excuse at all. 145 lbs is closer to 147 lbs than 140 lbs. the closer to 140 lbs the fight is, the more the excuse of weight drainage holds weight. at 145 lbs, cotto has no excuse as 145 lbs is only 1 lbs difference from his last fight where he weighed 146 lbs.

My question is who does a loss hurt more? Cotto or Pac?

How would a KO loss effect Cotto?
How would a KO loss effect Manny?

Who has more options after a loss?

                      Your thoughts fellow NSB peeps.
It would hurt neither. Pacquiao still has the junior ww crown or can still further campaign against Mosley or PBF for a ww crown.

Cotto is young and can still challenge the same and earn money. He is still a rock at 147, he does have this alibi.
