He has the right idea, but you don't suddenly turn into a fighter as quick as Zab through one training camp when you are Marquez's age. Listen, its obvious that they have a plan to beat Floyd, but is it executable by a smaller, slower counterpuncher?

Is he gonna switch to being a southpaw too? In my opinion *that* is what helped Judah in the first part of the Mayweather fight.

You don't have to be as fast as Judah to get to Mayweather, Castillo was never as quick as Judah and he got to Mayweather, Marquez is probably faster than Castillo. A lot of fighters make the mistake of loading up on power shots on Mayweather which plays right into his hands, touching Mayweather with quick punches to keep him busy on defense is a smart thing to do. Still doesn't make me think he's going to win but hey, weirder things have happened.

Agreed, Floyd should be touched all night and not given a chance to time you. But Castillo has much heavier hands, so when he touches you you know a big shot is coming. I don't believe that JMM is the man to execute the plan because I don't believe he can break Floyd down at all and doesn't have the speed to avoid that straight right or effectively counter.

Marquez and Castillo fight nothing alike. Castillo was very physical with Floyd which was why he was very successful.

Marquez, at this weight, will prolly not have the speed needed to replicate what Judah did against Floyd.

I dont think SPEED is the essential key here as TIMING will be. If Marquez can time Floyd's movement and offense, he may be able to tag him with the speed Marquez will have.

Seriously, the only chance Marquez has of winning this fight is to make it as boring as possible. Pick his shots, be methodical, wait for mistakes and openings. If he becomes to offensive minded, Floyd will just counterpunch and capitilize from openings and vulnerability.

JMM fights nothin like Zab and ain't as big or quick. No point to followin Zab's blueprint.

I never said they fought alike, I said Castillo was slower than Judah but still managed to get to Mayweather. I don't really know how Marquez can fight Mayweather and be successful but he has the right idea in saying that speed could work against Mayweather, he knows he has his timing so I'm pretty sure he means his speed plus his timing will be the keys. I wasn't comparing their styles at all.
