2 Things sticked out after watching HBO Assault in the ring

(1) If Margarito load is gloves in previous fight e.g the cotto fight then cotto facial damage would be similar to billy collins facial damage or close to it.

I don't think this is a very solid assumption: There is loading gloves, and then there's realllly loading gloves.

What Margarito(or his trainer...whatever you want to think) did is place some small hard pads inside his wraps.

Resto/Panama actually took alot of the original padding OUT, and on top of that he is said to have to put larger plaster pads in front of his fists as well. Cheating is cheating, but I think the Resto/Panema camp took it to a level above what Margarito did; from what i've read/seen, Resto's loading was much more substantial and more dangerous.

Also: skin swelling, bruising and cutting varies by person. If Resto had fought someone else that night, perhaps they wouldn't have shown as much visible sign of the beating as Collins did.

I'm not saying whether margs cheated or not before Mosley....I just don't think that looking at the state of his opponent's face can exonerate or indict him.

Again, they took padding out of Resto's gloves they DIDN'T take padding out of Margarito's.
Cotto's face was still ****ed up but not as bad as Collins' face because of this.
Margarito is a cheater and a disgrace.

i love how people in here make it seem as universally undenniable that Margarito had plaster in the Cotto fight. It's never against any other fighters, he used it only vs Cotto apparently because he was caught trying to use it with Mosley.
