What if the K Bros used these sort of tactics to get more people to follow their fights?

I was gonna co-sign but for different reasons. Being black and a star in sport is such a norm that people dont rally around our stars like they use to. For example someone like Yao ming is huge because its rare to see someone from chinese decent to be a star in the league. He literal has millions of fans rally behind him. With black boxers, in case anyone hasnt noticed, havent had a huge fan base since I dont know when. When is the last time you saw a AA fighter with a huge fan base.

With that said these guys are in the business to make money. So since you cant get people to love you, you turn to the villian role and that **** sells. ***Warning what Im about to say may offend people on here***. Look at boxers like Tyson, B-Hop, Floyd etc. None of these guys are racist but the play a certain role because the fan base in american that actually buys tickets and ppv are intrigued by one particular role. This role is the uncontrollable, loudmouth, big bad negro that needs to be put in place. Thats the reason they say certain things to piss people off because Middle america, Upper class whites and people with money love to hate blacks like that. The AA communitie wont come out to support them so instead of depending on that to make sells they say stuff to piss these whites and others of because they know these guys will pay top dollar in hopes on them getting their @ss kicked.

Thats why you heard b-hop with the I want loose to a white boy

Floyd dissing whites and there love for MMA

    Tyson with his antics

These guys know that people with money will buy into this and it will boost ticket sells. Whether thats right or wrong that up for debate, but thats the truth behind the matter.

Dont believe look at guys like Mosley, Dawson, Berto, Jones Etc. these guys have pretty much been the typical good guys in the sport but there ticket sells are ****. Then compare these to they guys that fit the steorotypical demonization of blacks that a lot of whites have...guys like floyd and Tyson. There sells are through the roof. This may go over peoples head but you gotta realise that in America certain roles sell, while others don't. Most people want the submissive Negro thats very normal and comforting to people which = boring. When you have the Uncontrollable Negro that brings alot of attention and intrigue.

BTW sorry for the long a$$ type.

You sure like to feel sorry for yourselves. Even today, when you have all the privileges. Who says Mosley, Dawson and Berto don't draw crowds? And if there are fewer black fighters with a large fanbase, then maybe it's because there are fewer notable black fighters, fewer that deserve a large fanbase. Still guys like Zab Judah have big fanbase. A guy who definitely gives boxing a bad name.

I think European fighters, both white and black, are much more gracious in defeat. It has something to do with their upbringing. They are not brought up "on the street". Most of them anyway.
A lot of blacks from impoverish areas feel that sports may be there way out or all they got. So if it is something that you are really good at, and feel without it you are nothing, you live and die by your success. That's why we dont like to admit defeat. I mean say if you played chess all your life and thats all you know. You were able to feed your family with money your earned, and everyone you know when you were growing up praise you for your ability. If someone comes along and beats you, more than likely, you will have a hard time accepting that. It's not a race thing, just human nature to act like that. Now with blacks, incase anyone didn't know, in the hood nobody takes sports as serious as we do....atleast from what I have seen.

Yeah, I understand that. Didn't mean to sound too harsh, but one is easily annoyed by an athlete who doesn't conduct himself as a gentleman. Yet who am I to judge.

Klitschkos dont need to do that because no fans are more supportive than people in Europe. Most guys like Tyson, Floyd and B-hop realize they will never be accepted as good guys so they say F-ck it let me play the bad boy role.

Also I never said it was right (as mentioned in my post). With media in america certain roles sell. As ****ed up as it is to say, blacks are the worst race as far as supporting our athletes. Most of the people who buy tickets to these events and PPV are Middle americans (whites) and Upper class whites. In America certain things sell and nothing sells like the Uncontrollable Negro that terrorizes whites and needs to be put in place. I know its hard to believe but these stereotypes were delibrately created by whites during the Minstrel show era (Reason behind almost every stereotypes about blacks). Whites would delibrately paint there face black, dress up in african american attire and performe roles of blacks that would harrass white women, be violate, talk trash and be out of line. During the 1900's and beyond this became so popular amongst whites that they made tons of money off this. This was actually americans first form of entertainment. With that said certian boxers take on these roles because they know people (White americans who are the biggest source of sells) will buy into this. Again I'm not saying this is wrong or right but it sells.

no offense taken. I like to keep everything 100, so I tell it like it is. I understand that gets under peoples skin and annoys people, but thats what they want. For every good guy there is a bad guy. For every gentle men there is an a$$hole. In everything its neccessary to have both to create balance. I mean be honest for a sec...at one point I know you have gotten a laugh outta guys like Mayorga or Tyson with there comments? I know I have and I feel boxing needs individuals like that.
