Fighters who qiut need to be penalized .

example: Nate Campbell put a black eye on the sport last night. I was a Nate fan up until is B**** in the ring last night. So you get head butted...You dont lie about not being able to see before the 4th round is complete so you can get a No Contest. This is one of Many examples:

We as fight fans pay to see fights and competitive ones. We pay good money for PPV bouts and pay to enter these arenas to see good action. There should be some known repercussion to quitting. Like back to the drawing board per say.

There are plenty of real good fighters in little gyms all around dreaming of a shot at the spot light. many that would rather die than lay down. I believe if fighters knew that if they quit it could be a career disaster and it could all be taken away with in a round ,they might dig deep and find a way to fight through. Like we do in the armatures , we stay hungry. You quit there and you can forget it being scouted out. I know how it is in that ring and if you cant fight on...you dont need to be in this sport. Plenty of others willing to take the place of a quitter.

I'd rather the corner throw in the towel at least the blame aint on your part then.
You could have a sly word with your corner when your ready to pull out
'Listen throw the towel in first dig he lands'

    lol

But on a real yeh something should be done like only paying you half your purse..

It would have to be on the sly for the corner to throw it in. Cotto did that with the Marg fight. The corner stepped in and Cotto didnt contest the towel. Not very well orchestrated. He quit. Losing most of your purse would hurt bad. It would be like taking a beating for free. **** that. That will make you fightLOL

I would have no problem with it if the doc came over, asked Nate some questions and then stopped it.

Instead, we AUDIBLY hear Nate Campbell tell his trainer STOP THE FIGHT. He knew the situation and knew he could escape with a no contest.

I don't want to ever hear Nate Campbell called a warrior again because he is not.

He never said "stop the fight." He said he couldn't see and was seeing spots. It's real easy to be a computer warrior. That requires neither skill nor heart.

Unless it's a serious injury that could cause permenant damage or ruin a career. But i think getting penalized is a bit much. If you quit without a dam good obvious reason, like Witter did last night, you're career is going to take a big hit, you're going to lose respect, prestige...etc.
In other words, you'll pay dearly enough if it isn't for a serious health risk.
