As Teddy Atlas himself recognized, Cotto clearly wanted to give in and quit during the Clottey fight. The only reason why he didn't is because Clottey was an idiot and took his foot off the gas when Cotto was BEGGING for an excuse to quit. It was obvious from his body language. Cotto never really had any heart, but he trashed whatever heart he had left by quitting pathetically in the Margarito fight.

If the fight was on the West Coast, Cotto would have quit. Just like he did against Margarito. The only reason he fought on is because he knew he was going to get a Rican decisions at MSG
