  • I understand why people don't want Cotto to be bullied and that the Pacman camp is being pretty fa-ggity...

But I think it's ****** for Cotto not to put up the belt at 145...especially if Arum is going to put up the fee's as I read he would.

Wow Cotto gains the respect of a couple keyboard assassins with hidden agendas for there favorite fighter to fight the p4p number 1 and Cotto losses out on the opportunity of a lifetime and his first Mega fight on boxings biggest stage and for what?

    He keeps his WBO trinket?

Sounds like his pride is getting in the way of sound business decisions....Who cares if the belt is on the line if he's confident of winning at 145...

Cotto is getting 35% now...after/if he wins he'll be the one making the demands...this is ******...I see people openly routing for this fight to fall through...I try to reason with myself why that would be?

This fight has a huge buzz around it and will surely be put boxing in the public spotlight...Cotto is definitely the best option for Pac at the moment....Sugar Shane Mosley is a great fighter...but lets face it he doesn't have the same following Cotto does....Mayweather of course would be the absolute best option for Pac in terms of Money and hype....but it's pretty obvious that Money is fighting JMM...The 24/7 is coming up and if there was no pull out by now...I don't see this becoming a reality...

So Pac would have to wait till after the JMM vs PBF fight and fight the winner of that fight...which would be well into 2010.

So what do we gain from that?...no big fights till next year...that blows.

The only reasons people would be openly routing for this fight to fail is

    1. I hate boxing and don't like the buzz of a great event.

    2. I want Manny Pacquiao to fight my favorite fighter.

    3. I have sand in my vagina.

      Pacquiao a 140lb champion, Cotto a 147 lb champion...
Catch Weight 145lbs., who do you think has a big difference to overcome? Idiot...

      • Its a welterweight title, fight at the correct weight and earn the belts the right way. Roach and Pac are starting to piss me off with this crap. If he dont want the fight, Mosley is waiting for either one, he says hed drop to 140 for Pac and unify for Cotto... Why does no one want a piece of SSM.

Of course he isn't going hungry. He's a millionaire, and you must be his accountant. LMAO.

What I'm saying is, Pacquiao is the biggest fight in boxing for any fighter under 147 pounds. Point plank, period.

You will see this when the Mayweather-Marquez fight tanks, and they end up selling way less than stellare PPV numbers.

I'm a Cotto fan, but these negotiations are a battle that he cannot win. If he somehow doesn't get this fight, he just lost the biggest fight and payday of his career.

            • i don't understand why many wants it his way,he already made cotto come down in weight, what now he wants the title at 145??? next thing he would want to rename the dvisions when he fights, call this super super jr welter weight,he's being ridiculous now, want to be welterweight champ? fight as a real welterweight then, make history like all the rest of the fighters, don't ask for special treatment,

They agreed to fight at 145 and no title.

If they want the title pay the man or give him the 2 pounds is simple.

how much did pacquiao diaz sell? pacquiao will not sell out anything if he is not fighting an opponent with a large fan base or a fighter that no one gives a chance to beat him, i'm pretty sure if cotto fights floyd he would get paid more than if he fights manny

                  • if cotto was confident then he would put the title on and beat pac and become a star. i gues he isn't. no title pac will fight mosley and his chance is down the drain. your call cotto.
