Hes Sticking to his Gun And Showing That He Isnt Chasing Anyone, If Manny Wants to Fight Than lest Fight If Not Get the Steppin. You Aint Getting Everything You want!

Good for Cotto! Pac wants to be welterweight champ, then come up to 147 limit like all ther real welterweights champs do it! if you can fight DLH at 147 why cant you fight Cotto at 147?

It was 147 when Sugar Ray Robinson won the title, it was 147 when Sugar Ray Leonard won it, it was 147 when Cotto won his, SO WHY IN THE **** DO THESE ****ING ******* WANT OR FEEL THAT THE TITLE SHOULD BE ON THE LINE IF ITS NOT AT 147?
I use to have alot of respect for Pacquiao and Roach but after such a ***** move I can no longer feel the same way.
If you want a welterweight title then fight at 147 & if you dont want to fight at 147 then SHUT THE **** UP ABOUT A TITLE!Manny is the draw, he's the Pound 4 Pound King, he is smaller a 140lb champion, everybody wants a piece of him, they lined opponents to choose from, he sets condition to consider fighting a bigger & strong champion w/ 65 - 35 split purse, a 145lb. catch weight w/ a bigger risk to overcome a 5 lbs difference compared to 2 lbs difference & a belt on the line, it's not all about money but a 7th belt in 7 different weight divisions makes the difference, if successful it's history no boxer has ever done it before even the great Sugar Ray Robinson...So, it is nonsense to fight Cotto w/out the belt, what for?

Why should Manny have it both ways? You want Cotto to drain himself to make weight, so you're at an advantage. Fair enough--you hold the clout to negotiate that, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. The money isn't equitable, so why should Cotto put both his belt and weight on the line?

Sometimes you have to make concessions in life to get to the top.
How is letting this fight slide good for Cotto's career?
I think a ***** move would be letting ****** pride get in the way of your future success.
So some people on the internet will say he folded in the negotiations...So the H-E-Double hockey sticks What!...He goes on and beat Manny Pacquiao and he's the one making demands and forcing concessions from his next opponents...
or he can fight Andre Berto...Then try to fight Shane Mosley or Money that may be coming off a Pacquiao win and he will be in the same position in the negotiations again...getting demands imposed on him instead of making them.
If he fights Pac now...and wins...he gets to call the shots in his next fight...why don't you guys see that?Last edited by BOOMbip; 07-31-2009, 12:11 PM.

He's the sports only true superstar, besides maybe Floyd Mayweather Jr, so sure, Cotto can fight other fights. But will any of those fight be half of the magnitude of a Pacquiao fight.
**** NO.
If you think that Manny needs Cotto, more than Cotto needs Manny, you must be one dumb sack of ****.
