About a year ago I read an interview (sorry that I don't remember the URL, I'll post it if it comes across.) of an anonymous steroid expert who makes diets and steroid 'recipes' for professional athletes. He said that about 80% of top MMA competitors do steroids, I can't see why in boxing that would be different. Steroids are not only used for bulking up, they can also be used to improve stamina for example, different substances for different tasks.

If you use them the way they should be used, they hardly give you any problems. If you over-use them, they mess your own hormonal system also giving serious physical and mental side effects.

Richard Hamilton may be that much lighter simply because his bones aren't as thick as Wlads.

Take a look at Wlads fist, compare it to Haye's fist (the picture from the arena) and you'll see that if Haye had 6 fingers in his hand the size would be about equal.

    Wlad is big boned.

I'm 5'6", 123 lbs. and see people every day about my height who overweigh me by 10 or more pounds simply because their bones are thicker and they naturally carry more mass.

IMO, Bobby Lashley is a good example of a guy bulked up with use of steroids. Just look at his fists, they're very small for a guy his size. Also in college he used to wrestle at about 170 lbs. so I guess it's not only natural muscle.

    First post.

if guys like toney & Botha who have Adonis figures have taken them then I have my suspect both klits used them at one time or another.they are doctors in sports medicine so they could easily screen their tests because they know exactly what to use.I've cheated & passed on 6 drug tests for work(coverup my pot use$)so I'm pretty sure they can screen their tests.come on todays athletes cheat all the time in every sport.I have no proof but I'd say they used them.

Just curious here, but are any of you who are accusing them actually in shape? I hit the gym 4 days a week and my workout is nowhere near as intense as Wlads and Im in damn good shape. I have no doubt that if I wanted a Wlad-like physique I could achieve it without steroids.

True, though you can be in terrific shape even without steroids, genetics differ, no matter how much training and steroids everyone can't get ripped.

And they're not on the top only because of steroids, but because of all-round natural abilities, technique and training. Steroids make you able to train harder and more often by decreasing the time of recovery.

Also by accepting the 'fact' that almost everyone on the top juices makes it fair again, 'roider vs. 'roider.

Yup, I've always thought that hard physical work gives you much more general strength than pumping iron where you always make the same moves. When working you need to use your limbs in different angles. Worked for 9 years as a roadie, didn't gain weight (it's impossible for me) but the gain in strength was clear and massive.
