Yeah but Pavlik fought Hopkins, who was a nightmare matchup for him. I don't know how much the weight actually hurt him as much as Hopkins basically reading every move he was going to make. Yes, we'll see with Abraham, but given his trouble making 160 I'd imagine he'll be very comfortable at 168.
Hardest Jump between two divisions in boxing?

Here's a couple of rare examples..
Ray Leonard beating Donny Lalonde for the light heavy title, then coming back domn to light middle weight to lose to Terry Norris... Crazy!... That surprised me about Leonard..
Also Chris Eubank going from super middle to cruiser to fight Carl Thompson..Comment

Co sign. Weighing 160 you get a huge range of different sized fighters.I would say going from 154lbs to 160lbs. Even though it is a difference of 6 pounds I think the height in that weight calls is a big difference. Some of the 154lbs are just heavy WW while the 160lb weight class has guys 6 foot and over in it. The pop in those punches too are big differnce in the 160lb weight class.....LeftyComment

I gotta disagree with that one statementThe reason why jumping from 140 to 147 is the hardest is because WW division is the most loaded division throughout history. There is always talent in that division. Before this current corp, you had Oscar Tito Mosley Whitaker Forret Ike. Also the the average man is around the size of a WW, hence why there is more talent. Also WW is a prestigious division. The most prestigious title in boxing is heavyweight champion. The second would be WW
Most prestigious is HW followed by middleweight then Welter. That's the way it has always been. Recently (since the late 90's WW has been making some noise) before that the division was good but not great.Comment

Why are some people talking about heavy and cruiser? Of course they are the biggest leaps, that is why op said ignore them.
Anyway, agree with 140 to 147.Comment
