Pavlik/Williams: The Numbers Game Continues

What were the PPV numers for Pavlik's fight on that Cotto doubleheader? I know he has been on PPV against Taylor, BHop and Rubio. But is he really a draw? If he was, Top Rank would have upped the offer and put it on PPV.

I normally don't take up for Kelly (made excuses when Hopkins beat his ass, talked **** about the "Super Six" tourney, etc..) but for real ; I'd rather lose to a guy like Hopkins who is "All Time Great" with one of the best in ring IQ's of all time than get my ass spanked by a B level guy like Quintana while wearing a mowhawk.

A middle weight beating and un active practically career JMW and a WW isnt ALL that impressive.. Good wins..but not enough to demand what he is demanding at a shot at the MW championship. Pav had to beat guys like Zertuche and Miranda..by KO..to get his shot at Jermain...PW has been jumping weight classes..and should be grateful he is getting the fight. Im sure he is..but Goosen is responsible for this IMO...

he's not pricing himself out.....he's looking at the fact hbo doubled the offer for this fight, as opposed to pavlik-strum.....

all pw wants is a split of the gate, and arum demanding rematch clauses, pw wants 2.5 flat.....based on the kind of money this fight will do, probably 7 million, i dont think 2.5 is too much to ask for, and arum will get his rematch clause.

a 50-50 split is outrageous, but williams deserves something....

williams needs to take this fight regardless of the split..he has been complaining about not getting big fights...well a win over pavlik will put him in the spotlight and in the position for big money fights in the near future...

Yes, and those who solely blame it on Goossen, and claim that it's not Williams' fault, are in effect accusing Williams of not having a mind of his own. If Williams wants the fight badly, he should tell Goossen to make the fight at whatever terms he can get. Williams will get a better cut in the rematch anyway, if he wins. This is idiotic posturing by team Williams, and he's losing a lot of respect because of it.

I think if Paul doesn't find out where his balls are at, Shane Mosley could make him look really bad and ****** at the same time by moving up to fight Kelly Pavlik. If he doesn't, he's likely to be out for the rest of the year if he's not willing to fight Berto or Williams.
