Promoter D is right. I can see Williams' struggle. He's winning big fights, but he's not making the money yet. Problem is he has no fan base. Pavlik doesn't need Williams or HBO at all. he'll make good money regardless of the opponent. Goosen just can't deny that, no matter what kind of bull**** he wants to spew.

That's one thing I like about Top Rank. They don't need HBO. The PPV's may be pricey, but at least they arne't stuck waiting around for dates.

Its that or keep seeing your name in P4P lists while fighting in front of a couple of thousand people max. In other words, he still needs to pay his dues.
PPV buys are not a strong point of Pavlik. People need to get that out of their heads. But the fact that he has headlined PPV before and Williams hasn't shows who the draw is. Pavlik's fights bombed where PPV buys are concerned, but the fans at the gate more than make up for that. This fight wouldn't be PPV anyway. And the fact that Williams has never headlined a PPV would result in a huge bust if a network attempted to go that route with him during this particular time.

I consider the Hoax and his barfighting, double the ******** jab requesting, driveway pavement making, one hit wonder having trainer to be a waste of human excrement's but even I can see that the one who's blowing the deal is Williams.

Williams should be paid good because he paid his dues but what Williams is doing now is being GREEDY!!!

I agree with Williams, phuck legacy, titles and weight classes, it's all about the money but at the same time...don't be greedy.

Take the 1.75, don't sign a rematch clause, and on Oct 3rd...beat the **** out of the country bumpkin.

Can you comprehend what you read? He is not asking for a 60-40 split. They want a piece of the 'live gate'. Give Goosen 2 to 3 hundred thousand and Pavlik gets his ass whooped or remove the rematch clause.

And I feel like I'm kind of turning against Williams by wanting him to man up and fight Pavlik. Because he would probably get more main stream appeal if he beat someone like Shane Mosley. And I ripped Mosley a little bit for not accepting Goosen's alleged offer of $3 million for fighting him. And it makes Mosley look ****** for it. Because he is likely going to be out for the rest of the year because of the possibility of this fight getting signed. I am still willing to get on those fighters' cases down at 147 for not seeing Paul. Because if he makes the weight, he makes the weight. But this stunt he is pulling here with Pavlik looks like some real wanker ****.

And why is Williams not willing to accept a rematch clause? Williams is out-right demanding 2.5 million from this fight. That's outrageous.

I am but he is still living off the Taylor wins. Also this fight should have happened a while ago until Pavlik and Team Arum said no

Why does Pavlik need a rematch clause? Easily solved give Goosen a piece of the gate and Arum can have his rematch clause.

I'm just asking because even if he knocked Pavlik out in a slug fest, he would make a **** load of money in a rematch. It just doesn't make any sense. And who else is he going to fight at Middleweight? Javier Castillejo?
