I meant to write not in favor of the larger fighter.

catchweight is being used by cotto nuthuggers as a premature excuse of cotto's imminent defeat to a blown up midget.

I think it's a defeatist and negative reaction from nuthuggers faltering beliefs on Cotto.

well w.e the weight issue is. cotto looked slow in his last fight. pacquiao looks better nd faster in each fight. but i agree wit cotto the fight should be at 147. wouldnt be fair to cotto to make it at 145 wen he fought threw a bad ass cut agianst clottey for 12 rounds at 147

hahahaha good to hear that Cotto is holding his own, People say that if Cotto is sure that he can beat paquiao then he should put up his belt, but then again the same could be said about paquiao, if he's confident he can beat Cotto then fight him at 147 like everybody else that fights for a belt at WW. I respect Paquiao as a fighter but i hate the fact that Roach and the rest of his team is allways trying to have someone come in dehydrated, paquiao is blowing these fools out the water theirs no need for these catchweights.

Cotto is right. These whole catch weight fights are all schemes to pit smaller fighters at higher weight divisions to sell a fight. There are divisions for a reason and belts are awarded in those said divisions. All of a sudden everyone is fighting everyone. Catch weights are bull****

What's your point exactly? Oscar was done by the time he fought Pac and that's what he said. Are you somehow contradicting him? Or are you just throwing irrelevant information out there just for the fun of it?

And that's why Top Rank, ESPN, El Nuevo Dia, Boxing Scene, etc., have all confirmed the fight. That's also why there's a 3-city press tour already scheduled. Is that you, Ms. Palin?

Hey genius, nobody is making excuses about the catchweight. All Cotto is saying is that he's not going to put the belt on the line and that he is neither overrated or way past his prime. That's it. The only excuses I expect to hear after the fight is how Pac was the smaller man and never should have fought a legit WW. If I'm wrong you wont hear anything from PR fans. We don't play like that. You should have seen and heard how we applauded Pac at the Cotto/Clottey fight. Funny how a fighter as respectful and professional as Pac has so many ignorant and trash-talking fans.

Nah bruh! I'm not even a Cotto fan and I say he is right in standing
firm on his decision to not defend his title at 145 when he won his
at 147. Manny wanted Cotto not the other way around. Manny is
getting everything he wants, catch weight, bigger % and now he
wants the title to be on the line? Manny should man up and put
something on the line too. If he wants the title come up to 147
and get it the real way.
