      So roach/manny can take the "advantage" of drying cotto out for 2lbs in theyre favor but why cant cotto make the BALANCE and to his favor bribe them through the belt?

      Maybe you forgot there's something called "fair marketing".

      You want legacy,pay it at it's full price.If by all means every pound.

        WBO is desperate to collect the fee for this fight, they know are totally wrong by pushing this fight when the maximum weight allowed is 145 pounds. If Pacquiao want the belt from Cotto, then the fight should be at 147. Like Cotto said, he is not De la Hoya or Hatton. I will say one more time and probably hundred more times, Cotto will destroy Pacquiao in 6 rounds.

                If Cotto beats Pacquiao I will finally be at least somewhat sold on him being an A level or at least a B+ to an A- fighter. I respect Cotto for getting in the ring with Clottey, Margarito, and Mosley. But he got beaten badly in the fight with Margarito and won razor thin decisions over Clottey and Mosley. I want to see Cotto finally put a stamp on a victory against an elite opponent if I'm going to hear of how his most hardcore fans continue to talk about how great he is. I expect him to rise to the occasion with or without the catch weight even though I think that what Pacquiao is doing is bull****.

                    again, what rules are being broken here?

                    welterweight = 141-147.

                    145= 141-147 = welterweight division.

                    How ridiculous would it be if cotto lost & still kept his title when he just fought a fight at welterweight?

                    do u not see that?
                    Um... because the fight would be non-title that's how he would do it. But the point I'm making is that the LIMIT to WW is 147, why does Cotto have to fight at 145 JUST because that's Manny wants? As just because they are fighting "within" the WW division doesn't mean its worth of a title, especially if you are essentially CHANGING the rules to limit the fight at 145. Cotto is not saying he won't put the title on the line, all he is saying is that if it happens the limit should be at 147 like it is intended. I mean jesus, Manny wants the title and wants his rules applied all Cotto is saying is "Fine, but we're keeping the rules how they were intended." I see no problem with what Cotto is doing and I don't see why Manny won't take the fight at 147. I'm sure that is the weight he'd fight Mayweather at with or without a title at stake.

                      Wow... so it doesn't matter how a guy wins it matter how well he looks doing it? The guys you just mentioned, ESPECIALLY Mosley are elite fighters and Cotto won a fought against an elite fighter, if Cotto is a so called B fighter WTF does it make these other guys? This is almost the dumbest comment I've seen on here, followed only by "Cotto struggles against guys at or above his level." Well no ****, if he destroyed them he'd be ABOVE their level, and against the opposition he's fought, whom are all the best in the division he comes out on top. I guess that's the sad way of the world however, Manny wasn't GREAT until he beat DLH and demolished Hatton. When he was facing Marquez or Morales in the first fight he wasn't nearly as heralded. Then we have Mayweather who has only fought the number 8 ranked WW according to Ring Magazine and thats supposedly "HIS" division and he's the #1 or #2 P4P by most accounts.
