I'll take nothing away from Pacquiao but overtraining could have had something to do with it.That's why I don't want to see Hatton quitting yet because the speed of Pacquiao and him been a southpaw.Check some of the overtraining symptoms out.

Disturbance in rythm and flow of movement
Reduced power of differentation and correction
      Lack of ability to concentrate
Confusion in competition, departure from usual tactics

He trained so hard that he forgot to use his defense?

I think there could be some truth to this. The extra long training camp, different/over intense training methods, etc. Plus he looked terrible at the weigh in and he was dead on 140lbs. If you aren't proper conditioned your chin is gonna be affected too.

It wouldn't affect the result though, as his no defense style had more to do with it than anything. Maybe he would have lasted a few more rounds, but nothing more.

If Ricky is to return, I think he would be more comfortable at 147 now. Personally I think he's outgrown JWW and that's whats affecting his chin.

Hatton should blame his arms for not putting up a guard.. he should also blame pacquiao for punching him

I can totally understand why Hatton blames his training camp. The babbling idiot Floyd Sr. was very disrespectful to Hatton and his camp. I mean, you got a fighter in one of the biggest fights of his life who always has to worry about his weight and the trainer shows up late every day and with Taco Bell at that! And then after the fight, Floyd doesn't even follow Hatton into the dressing room but instead acts like a rock star signing autographs! You don't have to wonder why Floyd Jr is a jerk, he has a jerkoff for a father.

Anyway, I never doubted Pacman would win (although I didn't think it end that quickly and that brutal) but being what happened to Hatton, I could understand why he'd want to give it a go one more time.

The Hatton comeback is now 100%, book it for the near future. When you hear a proffesional fighter making excuses and recharging batteries it becomes inevitable.

Thanks for that. Good to see he's looking and sounding better and seems to be back in good health. If he ever fought Khan, I think it'd be an easy win for Ricky.
