Hatton Believes He Overtrained For Pacquiao Bout

Ricky Hatton has yet to make a decision on the future of his career but the training camp for his May loss to Manny Pacquiao is still weighing heavy on his mind. Hatton was stopped in two rounds by the crushing punches of the pound-for-pound king. There were rumors of training camp trouble even prior to the fight, with co-trainers Floyd Mayweather Sr. and Lee Beard at odds with each other. Hatton felt that he overtrained and that makes him want to return to the ring to prove himself right. [details]

What he did was, he ran in there with his hands low.

            That explains it.

Whew!!! I was beginning to think the rumors of Floyd Sr. being late for camp was the real cause for the loss.

            I can sleep better now.

Ricky must prove it wasn't a fluke.

Apparently he didn't train enough, a 44 fight pro shouldn't make the errors Hatton made that fight bull rushing a power puncher.

You have to think he couldn't have done any worse with Graham.

Either way, too much binge drinking, too much fish n chips, too much ballooning in between fights, a style that leads to getting hit a lot, take it's toll. Time to retire Ricky.
