chris should be coming into fights at around 220, hes a big guy at 6"2 but hes not particularly muscular and doesn't have a massive frame neither. imo hes a medium sized HW and he needs to stop coming in looking like hes been at an 'all-u-can-eat' for the last week.

alot of people have looked at guys like ike ibeabuchi, lennox lewis, vitali, vlad, valuev and thought that for them to be effective HW's they need to come in at 240+. all the guys above (except for possibly valuev) turn up to their fights in shape, ready to go 12 rnds and with a low body fat %.

smaller HW's like byrd, arreola, toney and chambers need to stop looking at fighters like lewis or vlad and start looking at fighters like tyson and holyfield. both of whom came into fights in shape and weighing below 220.

i think vitali is due a L and soon, i wasn't impressed with his performance vs gomez, he was pawing with the jab, tired by round 5 and looked old. imo a fighter with good movement who constantly makes vitali move, change direction and feints well (i.e. chambers) would have some success vs vitali. i think vitali would get tired and find it hard to finish the fight on his feet.

arreola is not that type of fighter though, but i do think if he comes in weighing around 225, has a well thoughout gamplan and can use some boxing skill then he might have a chance.

but the realist in me says vitali by KO. arreola might be intimdated by the hostile atmosphere, has not faced many top 10 HW's and is a static target alot like sam peter.

Like I've said before, if Arreola can actually dedicate himself to his fights, maybe he'd be doing a lot better than what he already is. A conditioned Arreola is a dangerous fighter, but if he can't match his conditioning to Vitali, then he's screwed.

I feel like he's going to go into this fight with that "puncher's chance" in mind, because he definitely can't go the distance with a fighter like Vitali.

I hope he comes in shape and motivated for this fight. If he doesn't for this fight when can he. I would like to see him at 130-135 range. I still don't think he's gonna win, but if he comes in good shape he can at least put up decent performance and keep him in position for other big fights in the future.

Arreola is a man who used to fight as a light heavyweight when he was 20 years old. There's no way he should weigh over 240 lbs.

He used to be in decent shape at 230:

It seems like the strategy for most Vitali opponents is to come in at their highest ever weight though... So I'm expecting Arreola to show up at 260+ lbs.

I'm sure Arreola will be "fat and out of shape" here after he loses to Vitali. It seems every fighter who fights Wlad or Vitali comes in "fat and out of shape" for some odd reason...

His last fight against McCline he was at 255.

If he comes in around the 240-255 mark, I hope he gets KTFO.

He is extremely fortunate to have landed himself a shot with Vitali without accomplishing that much since turning pro, I would hope he's extremely motivated.

I like the guy and wish him well, I just want to see him in the best shape of his life rather than blowing his one (and probably only) shot at a title.

Well TBH, Arreola has faced better competition than Glen Johnson had when he fought Hopkins.

If he comes in outta-shape 4 this fight this is simply a cash out fight 4 his team.

I'm an Arreola fan and I wish he would get in shape. If he's letting himself go at this stage in his career, imagine if he got to the next level and was clocking big money. An unlimited budget for Twinkies and tacos would be disasterous.

I'll be rooting for Cristobal, but how much more motivation does he need?

arreola will get an insane amount of title shots, im talking five or six, even if he loses, because he is mexican and draws fans. To add to that, hes exciting and pretty damn good too.
