I just dont think Pac can get to 147 so it had to be a catch weight really
I recall Pac being over 147 for DLH on fight night. The catch weight is so that Cotto won't blow up as big as he normally does, and is perhaps a little drained on fight night. Roach plans this **** out man. Don't be an idiot.

Cotto weighed 146 in his last fight, 1 lb isn't really a big factor.
I don't see Pacquiao knocking Cotto out. If Cotto can't knock Pacquiao out, Manny wins.

Name me any other boxer who weighed in at 142 in a Welterweight fight??

And why do you say Cotto won't be a 100%? Is it because he's going down 1 ****in pound.
          Please.
You know damn well he'll balloon up to 160+ come fight night.
The fight haven't been signed and ya'll already making excuses.
          Damn....."hustla"....lol

i meant that he gave DLH the 147 limit..he didnt restrict him to 145..why cotto? cuz he knows cotto at 147 limit is TOO dangerous.

BUT HE GAVE DLH the limit of 147!! why not too Cotto?? lol see where that answer leads..haha..why not give him 147 and he could still come in at 142 like he did DLH?? Cuz we all know if this fight was at 147..we'd be saying Cotto is too big and strong for manny..manny is gonna get beat..

im saying he wont be at 100% as far as his weight goes..hes used to aiming at 147 or lower..now he has to do a lil more..thats all..not an excuse at all..i think Cotto is gonna be Cotto at 145 or 147.Its just that now he has to work a LITTLE harder for that extra 1-2 lbs.And yeah..im Hustla..

That's the Golden Boy we're talking about ma man.
He made Gatti moved up to 147 , PBF to 154 and Bhop to drop down to 156 for a middleweight unification.
                He got $.

Look ,Pac weighed in at 142 against Oscar....138 against Hatton.
Cotto weighed in at 146 gainst Clottey.
Pac is just askin Cotto to drop one pound to make it a bit fair for him.
And like I said over and over again......Cotto is gonna be 160+ on fight night while Pac is gonna be ... what....148 at max.
Cotto fans shouldn't be the one complaining.

Im not complainging...again..Cotto is gonna be the same cotto whether at 145 or 147...im just saying...IF PAC was ok with 147 before and impressed us...why not 147 again..CUZ he knows it might be easier for him to NOT HAVE Cotto come in comfortably...thats all.

                    Good article.

There would've been less argument about DHL vs Pac if Oscar had re-hydrated properly and performed (as was expected by many) a lot better than he did against Manny that night.

Even if Manny had won against Oscar (all things being equal), at least we would've witnessed a more competitive fight between the two and not the one-sided mismatch that everyone saw.

The fault and burden is with Oscar since he called Manny out and agreed to scrap at 147. Manny was only too happy to oblige and looked spectacular.

Against Manny, Hatton simply ignored Floyd Sr's. game plan in favor of his
own straight up style, encouraged by assistant trainer Beard.

All things being equal, and Cotto being able to re-hydrate to a sensible weight on fight night, we should be able to enjoy a highly competitive fight between the two.

The onus is on Manny to prove his previous wins against the three top world class fighters weren't a fluke.
