Has everyone forgotten the greatness that is Oscar De La Hoya?????????????

Ok look, I'm not an Oscar fan, but I recognize when a fighter is great. Oscar had it all, a great chin, fast hands, great coordination, a badass left hook, and most of all a brain in the ring. It seems like Oscar gets no respect anymore, is it because he is so rich and handsome? Mosley and Vargas(one of my all time favorites) used roids against him, that goes to show you that fighters feared him. I belive that he lost to sturm, but he went into that fight out of shape as ***, but i know that a loss is a loss. The Oscar that fought my idol, chavez was almost unbeatable. yea you guys have heard this before, but how many of you that have watch the Oscar vs tito have tito winning???? Some of you guys say cotto a guy that got smashed by Marg(B level fighter) could beat Oscar. Cotto barley beat an 36 year old Mosley. Cotto got rocked by the ricardo torres' and DeMarcus Corley's of the world. ARE YOU SERIOUSLY SAYING THAT COTTO AT 140 COULD HAVE BEATEN OSCAR?? go watch some tapes.

Oscar is very underrated around here, I really enjoyed watching his fights.
People hate him now as much as they hated him when he was knocking them out..

I think that people hate because of the money that he has and the wife. Puerto ricans dont like him because deep down inside they know what happened to their boy in his prime.

I have always been a fan of Oscar. He always came to fight and he fought every one. He helped the sport of boxing so much and still is. He never got dominated until Pacquiao but we all know how that one went and he should have had wins over Trinidad and Mosley in the second fight. I think people got a bad idea about him with the Pacquiao fight, because of how he picked on a little guy, but then also how he sold out in that fight. But there is still no denying his greatness. I was always amazed how he still fought on even though he was richer than rich.

he held up boxing for the last decade or so. He made many people fans of boxing that had no clue what boxing was.

I think Oscar is a great fighter. It's his questionable record that gives away his true credentials. I mean all of his opponents were world champions and strong contenders. If he fought Tito differently and won maybe his mentality would've changed his work rate. Nonetheless every single fighter Oscar fought, he was up on score cards, except for Mosley, Pacquiao and Sturm. He was even beating Hopkins, until Hopkins bigger size got to him.
