    Like he figured him out.

It annoyed me that he pissed it away in the second fight and basically gave away the fight enough that judges would judge for Taylor.

Ring generalship is fine but the dude should throw punches once in a while.

And Taylor was a sucker for a big right hand behind a jab, and Hop mysterously abandons it after he has success with it.

That's something I've found interesting myself.

And the older you get, the thinner your skin gets and the easier you become to cut. (See ; Jones/Calzaghe)

Yet Hopkins still hasn't been cut in a single fight to my knowledge (there's only 5 fights of his I've yet to see because I can't find them for download).

Never cut, never ****** up, no bruises, nothing.

If someone thinks Bernard is boring they haven't seen his fights with Johnson, Allen, Mercado, Trinidad, or Lipsey

The Tarver fight had good moments as well...

Because he complained about the first fight so much and many began to agree with him that he should have won and no doubt won the 12th round that Duane Ford didnt give him, Hop even went as far as saying he might take it to a legal route. With that in everyone's mind, he basically thought he could do the same thing he did in the first fight and they would basically give him the decision, I also think at the age of 40 he wasnt about to expend any more energy than he had to and if he could do hardly anything and get a decision, it was more than fine with him.

The only Hopkins fight I didn't really enjoy was the eastman fight, but I liked the left hooks that blasted Eastman, so whatever....

Of course, he didn't at the expense of boring us all.
LOL what an expense too huh bro?

To the subject at hand, both aren't the most exciting fighters in the world.
Both guys have a lot of skill and are very crafty and Ruiz has underrated punch and a good jab.

They both can bore the tears out of me, but I respect both as being damn good at what they do.

Ruiz wins the boring factor by a little bit because he engages with the hugging with guys as boring as him whereas every once in a while Hop actually has to fight some to win the rounds and Hops spurts of excitement are better than Ruiz'es.
