I am always amazed at how bhop will go 12 rds with a top notch fighter and come out unbruised.

See that's the part that annoys me the most. Hop hit Taylor with a couple of great shots late in the first fight after sleepwalking the first 9 rounds.
So I think well Hop should just take it to him because he knows what to do in the second.
Of course, he didn't at the expense of boring us all.

You rarely ever see a professional fighter get their ass beat, but Glenn definitely got his ass beat that night.
It's actually my favorite Hopkins fight based on the level of craft he showed in picking Johnson apart that night.
Not his fault Glenn was too tough to be legitimately knocked out.
But he was definitely hurting from that beating Hopkins gave him.
I'd watch that fight a lot more often if it weren't for the ****ty lighting in the arena that night.

Holy crap those were horrid fights.
I felt both should have got Losses for their efforts.
Hopkins throws 19 punches a round for the first 8 rounds and lands an average of 8 and Taylor throws a bull**** no intentions jab all night.
And Hop throws two or three hard shots then gives it up. **** those fights. they were atrocious.

Hopkins actually did much better against Taylor in the rematch than he did the first time out.
He started earlier, landed more shots than he did in the first match, used his left a little more, etc....
In the first one all he did was jack **** for the first 7 rounds by clowning on Jermain and not taking him seriously.
He didn't even start to land anything good until the 8th and 8-12 I thought he won, but still lost.
Whereas in the rematch I had Hopkins winning 115-113.

I know his thyroid condition was messing with him but that was a horrible, horrible fight.
Calzaghe comes in as a close 2nd.
Other than those 2 fights though I thought on the whole he was a very entertaining guy to watch.
Slick counterpunchers are the guys I enjoy most, though.
And I realize it's an acquired taste for most boxing fans.

Heart attacks that young are almost never heard of but they do happen.
An ex of mine's cousin died of a heart attack at 19.
