It's nice to see Hopkins getting his dues after all these years.

We all know his story and his struggle to carve out a legacy and reputation for himself throughout the years.

In today's era of fake fighters who want the biggest split of the purse, and run their mouth more than they run their miles it's nice to see a guy who cares about such things.

Don't get me wrong ; Hopkins obviously likes his money as much as the next fighter.

But it's not his main motivation, and it never has been.

well the main difference is hopkins stays hungry and he trains hungry and keeps in good shape between bouts unlike most fighters they lack the discipline that hopkins has.

yeah bro even when he "RETIRED" after the tarver beat down. he said he had to keep busy by doing yard work just so his body could stay healthy, now thats a true hungry fighter who runs and trains even though theres no fight in sight.

look at him now in espn interviews the man is still trim and in shape even tho he hasnt been in a formal training camps in months. talk about true hunger and dedication to his health.

its not really fair to talk about BHop like that. early in his career his fights were very action packed, he came to fight and to knock his oponents out. after the first mercado fight he changed to a well rounded fighter who could box aswell as fight, but he still put on entertaining fights. its only at the end of his career when hes changed up his style even more, but what choice did he have? it was his age, he gave us plenty thrilling fights thru his career and to compare him to john ruiz is just ******ed.

and he still puts on good fights now and then, the calzaghe fight was bad, but the pavlik fight was good, before that winky was alright, and tarver was great! u act like he puts on just boring fights these days but thats not even true, and in his prime he put on great fights.
