I really don't see Green as deserving a spot anywhere before any of these guys.

I've only watched him a couple times so far and was not very impressed, he has some good fundamentals and above average speed for his size, i think getting Kessler initially will be very tough especially for a young guy like him, i don't care if the fight is in his hometown, he's getting probably the best SMW in the world.

and not beating a top 10 SMW aside, where was Taylor's top 10 win? I guess we could say Lacy was in the lower half

but outside of Kessler, Bute, Froch and Andrade .. I don't see Super Middle as a terribly deep division .. and how many of the top Super Middle's have beaten top 10 fighters?

but after this Super Six tourney, I think a lot more will be resolved.

(if you go by The Ring's top 10 at 168) right now three fighters .. Kessler, Froch and Bute have the only wins over "top 10" opposition with victories over Andrade, Taylor and Bika, respectively

I don't think Andre Ward and Andre Dirrell have fought too close to the top at
168 .. with Ward's best win coming over a Mid Level Miranda .. who himself got wiped out by Abe.

so sure Green hasn't beaten top 10 opposition at 168, but you could say the same regarding the above 2 fighters and Abraham as well.

so taking that into consideration, if you'll agree .. not many Super Middle's can say they've beaten top 10 opposition, of course that's one ranking system (the Ring's)

and it wouldn't be too terribly hard for Green to make an impression.

(**regarding other names like Dirrell, Ward and Abraham look at their resume's at 168. I have to believe Part of the reason they're rated so highly is because they have yet to lose, so more power to them. )

either way Green can't be too far behind, he doesn't have the undefeated record he just needs the fights.

abraham, again trashed miranda at smw....

I need to watch more Kessler fights, I've kind of forgotten about him.

I can't make the man favourite, but jesus, this is quite a step-up from the **** Kessler has been knocking out too, that Haussler bloke was pure Tocker Pudwill.

From the Kessler fans, when has the big man looked great, he looked awesome against Andrade, but any others I should have a look at?

I'm rooting for Froch personally, but it would be quite impressive if one of the young Americans won the whole thing with such little experience. Can't see it, however.

Andrade and Bika have fought the best at Super Middle .. i.e. Calzaghe, Kessler and Bute, but respectively came up short

okay so what about Abe trashing Miranda .. Miranda only moved up to 168 after getting destroyed at Middle by Pavlik .. all Edison has since proved is he's mid level. If Abe and Ward want to prove themselves the best at 168, shouldn't they beat Miranda? why the silly emoticon?

been over Froch, Pascal doesn't fight at 168 any longer but that win + the Taylor are solid

and so what about Taylor almost beating Froch, as close as he was, no cigar. Jermain lost that fight, so all you can say is he almost beat Froch ... should it count as a * since Taylor almost won?

even with a strong resume at Middle, all Taylor's really done at Super Middle is lose to Pavlik (the 166 rematch) beat Lacy and lose to Froch. not terribly impressive

and Green himself did make a comment regarding how Taylor is almost being rewarded by being in the Super Middle tourney despite getting knocked out his last fight .. and I absolutely see truth to that.

but yeah at 29 Green really needs to kick it into gear before his career goes to waste.

he looked good on the Froch/Taylor under card, hopefully he can try and stay relevant.
