paul williams greed is gonna take him nowhere, same as juanma. make this fight happen if you really have the cojones to fight, dont be making excuses about money. " The Most Avoided Fighter" ??????? BULL****!!!!!!!!

boxers should fight for the purses.... 2.25M for the winner
    1.5M looser

all this nonsense will be over with if they do that

He made that in his last fight against Winky.

It doesn't matter who the bigger draw is, it's not a ppv fight.

HBO put that money up, Pavlik-Sturm was only gonna get 2 mil for their budget, this is almost double that. If I was on P-Will's team I'd ultimately take the fight with that split and be happy that Williams will be the new middleweight champ, but I'd negotiate for at least 1.75 mil.

FWIW, I believe Pavlik probably deserves more too.

But this whole whom deserves more is never going to be clean sailing, it's just a recipe for disaster, fighting, ego's and ultimately sacrificing the fight, to the bad of the sport.

750k is big bucks ok sure, but whom is Kelly going to earn more against?

He's not long coming off a dominating loss, and Williams is coming off a good name win.

One of Kelly's biggest wins was Taylor twice, and his stocks just went down.

PWill is in the top 10 p4p.

It can be argued all day long.

Just sacrifice in the name of making the biggest fight possible happening. Especially when the best guys in and around your division are now busy for a year plus.

You have to factor it all in.

These prize fighters gotta realize that we're in a recession and purses have declined as has everything else...

You nailed it. This is a strong offer, all things considered. If these guys want a big fight on HBO WCB, this is their only option at this point. A huge win for boxing if it gets done, and a huge disappointment if it doesn't.

Nothing else out there really makes sense.

Maybe Williams' team don't really want the fight.

As for the draws, I don't count those as victories. I did think Taylor edged him because Wright blew that last round by not punching enough. I did think he deserved the decision over Vargas though. And the Pavlik fight needs to happen. No doubt Wright has fought better fighters but I consider his prime in his late 20's and early 30's..
May have been his second fight but it wasn't his first....He had a tune up if you call it that against a very tough Ricardo Mayorga....Winky had his last fight before that over 2 years ago against Hopkins and lost that fight. Tito was in his second fight in two years and coming off a win very BIG difference.

                    Wright>Tito is better then Williams>Wright
