try fighting at a pro ring @ 16 years old. for me, fighting @ 16 is pretty impressive.

I didn't say it wasn't. All I'm saying is that you have to put it in perspective. Comparing the weight journeys of Pac and Cotto is just skewed. Pacquiao had five more years as a professional fighter to travel through all those weight classes. If you want to look at it from the correct perspective IMO, since their 21st birthdays Pac has gone from 122-140 and Cotto has gone from 140-147. Yes Pac has gone through more weight divisions, but let's put it in perspective.

The whole ranking system is out of wack because there will always be argument for who should be #1 and so forth.

By technical standards, If Cotto beats Pacquiao, he would've beaten the #1 P4P fighter AND also have a win over Shane Mosley who many consider the #1 WW. Plus adding the fact that JMM could indeed lose against Floyd, how can you put Floyd over Cotto based on what each has done in the last 2 years?

Bernard hasn't fought since October, so be it both JMM and Pacquiao lose, does that put him automatically at #1?

Usually rising way up the P4P list involves jumping up in weight. Cotto beating Manny, no matter how impressive, would be a welterweight beating a lightweight or junior welteweight, so you can't really put him at the top of the P4P list for beating Manny.

Don't misunderstand me, he deserves credit for his career so far, but let's not jump the gun. Beating Pacquiao and following it up with a win over Mayweather or Mosley again would get him in that conversation.

That's bull****. If your already ranked in the top 10 P4P list and you beat the #1 P4P Champion, that now makes you the best P4P fighter. Stop trying to take away all of his accomplishments. If you kill a killer, you become a killer,
