I will place Cotto as the best pound for pound fighter out there right now if he beats the pac man.

Usually rising way up the P4P list involves jumping up in weight. Cotto beating Manny, no matter how impressive, would be a welterweight beating a lightweight or junior welteweight, so you can't really put him at the top of the P4P list for beating Manny.

Don't misunderstand me, he deserves credit for his career so far, but let's not jump the gun. Beating Pacquiao and following it up with a win over Mayweather or Mosley again would get him in that conversation.

He gets put at number 4-5 I guess, he'd have to fight Mosley again to really move up any further for me.

Since Mosley beat the man who beat the man.

Wait 1 minute. EVERYONE is picking pacman and cotto is a BIG underdog and if he beats pacman pretty bad, it won't be regarded as a super win to get you P4P? If he beats pacman, clottey, mosley, etc.....he should be p4p. PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE. Mosley can be considered p4p for beating a cheater yet cotto WHO BEAT mosley...cannot? That shows that no matter what cotto does, the hate is still there. Why?

Does not matter...Cotto beat mosley ! Cotto might NEVER beat margarito but he did beat mosley. You think people care if cotto loses to margarito or beats mosley? Mosley.....and he did that already.

I would keep him at the same spot he is now,

pac is a small man and in my eyes Cotto being a technically sound heavy hitter who is a very very skilled boxer puncher SHOULD win.

Pac is crazy jumpin up in weight to fight the number 1 WW in the division, he shouldve at least took on a lower level WW like Collazo or berto to test his abilities to take a true welterweight punch.
